      Alo Yoga reviews

One of the worst job enviorments I've experienced.

      Pros

Free clothes every so often. 50% discount on apparel, accessories, wellness items, and an ALO Moves subscription. Free snacks—unless they take them away as a form of "discipline." Pay is okay.

      Cons

Bad environment, felt very cliquey. People wouldn’t even return smiles or hellos. High turnover and never enough staff on shift, leading to tension between certain managers and staff. Extremely pushy about selling shoes. I personally experienced unprofessional communication with a lead, which was my final straw. Treated poorly by customers, but that’s to be expected.

      Pros

Coworkers were willing to help and train.

      Cons

Management known for talking negatively about associates WITH other associates. There was no set rule given when it came to taking vacation and getting wardrobe. Some were told 6 weeks, some were told 4 weeks. Management would tell us that there was a new rule about dress code; but when looking it up in the handbook, it wasn't stated. You're expected to stay past your shift to help close or to help in the store but if a manager's shift ends at 8:00pm, they're out the door before 8:01. If you do decide to leave at your scheduled time, management will make comments about you to other associates once you leave. Most people work full time jobs plus a part time, so leaving at the scheduled time is important to get rest and recover. For most of management, this is their only job. The lack of empathy for people who work multiple jobs is insulting but their pride outweighs their willingness to compromise and keep an employee. Lack of accountability and close mindedness is their Achilles.
