What are perks and other benefits like at Anduril?

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Cool products, smart people, good benefits and perks

      Cons

Chaotic startup work environment, high pressure, lack of established protocols and systems

      2

Above average for defense, below average for tech

      Program manager
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good benefits, opportunity to travel to some cool customer engagements.

      Cons

More bureaucratic than traditional tech companies. They claim to be a tech company but the reality is they are defense company.

      Toxic culture but great mission!

      Mechanical engineer
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Many employees are deeply aligned with Anduril's core mission to enhance the defensive capabilities of the Western world. It's genuinely inspiring to collaborate with such intelligent and mission-driven colleagues. Anduril offers outstanding benefits and compensation that rival those of top-tier tech companies. Employees enjoy fully paid paternity leave, as well as comprehensive fertility support. Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided daily. Palmer Luckey is widely regarded as a generational leader—charismatic, visionary, and one of the most brilliant minds of our era. His presence at company all-hands meetings is consistently inspiring, and his leadership is a key driver behind Anduril's success and ability to attract top talent.

      Cons

Anduril's culture has been increasingly impacted by a top-down toxicity that originates from its inexperienced leadership. While a certain level of boldness and confidence is necessary to succeed in the defense startup space, that same arrogance has gone largely unchecked as the company has grown to thousand of employees. Leadership behavior frequently crosses professional boundaries—it's not uncommon to witness profanity and public disparagement of individuals in meetings. A recurring theme at Anduril is being “quick to fire.” While rapid decision-making can be a strength of a startup to move fast, this philosophy often comes at the expense of employee development and psychological safety. Rather than investing in mentorship or performance coaching, leadership tends to opt for termination. As a result, employees often operate under the fear of making mistakes. Collaboration suffers, and many teams prioritize self-preservation over shared goals. I have actually heard someone happily say "I'm going to get someone fired".

      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Pay is above market, interesting problems in AI and robotics, great benefits, many chances to move up and take ownership. I’ve been promoted thrice in 3 years.

      Cons

You have to grind (some say bad WLB)

leadership learning to be accountable for decisions

      Engineer
      Current employee
      Costa Mesa, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Resourced well compared to most aerospace startups, even with the declining benefits and equity. Coworkers put in above and beyond effort when called upon.

      Cons

In comparison to even the leanest of aerospace startups, decisions are made more unilaterally without communication or strong engineering justification.

      3

      Good Pay

      Former employee
      Costa Mesa, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      Good pay, benefits, perks, campus

      Cons

Lots of cliques. weak manufacturing management

      Poor Leadership & Culture

      Supply chain
      Former employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The benefits are fantastic, the future feels secured (kinda). The founder is a bit wacky and seems to love attention

      Cons

Leadership is clueless, expectations aren't realistic. You can't lean in and purchase materials until you're well within leadtime. They implemented a new ERP and it's a disaster, they've already decided to replace it in 2 years. Great vision but they don't know how to get there.
