There are a lot of people that want to help people and go above and beyond to make the patient experience the best it can be. Salaries are reasonable, benefits are great, and time off plans are good.
Cons
The mission has been lost. They have taken lean to the extreme so leadership support is severely lacking. Accountability is non-existent in the upper leadership as some of them protect each other from employee complaints by acting as witnesses to employee interactions. There's a group of women leaders in higher titles referred to as the mean girls.
I've worked with Ascension for 7 years, first as an RN now as an NP. Overall the experience has been great, I have great coworkers and the pay is fair for the location I'm in. Benefits are also good- we get great PTO and a a bonus twice a year.
Cons
Insurance offered though ascension is not the best. Some people in management, in actually all locations I've worked, seem to be juggling too much and arnt able to focus on individual units because their hands are full.
