Pros
The benefits offered are good - beyond healthcare, we have a lot of "extras"
Cons
Honestly, there are so many. The organization was doing well, and in general, the employees were happy, and I personally felt listened to. Within the last 2.5 years, something changed - it began with the turnover of 4 executive leaders in less than 3 months, and then Summer Fridays were removed - meaning we no longer had the option of ending work at 2 pm during the summer - and quickly following that, were told that the week between Christmas and New Years was no longer a holiday week. We didn't receive merit bonuses or cost-of-living increases last year, and our end-of-year bonus has been consistently underfunded. At the same time, our executives continue to make well into the 6-figure, while their lowest paid employees aren't making a livable wage and have to scrape by without a chance to save money.
I've been overworked for literal years now, at one point working 80+ hours a week without being eligible for OT and without any assistance. When I expressed that fact, I was told (although not explicitly) that I wasn't contributing enough or wasn't being a team player. I was told there was growth and the company preferred to promote from within, which is only partially true. I spoke to multiple executive leaders about my career ambitions, where I wanted to grow, and how to get there, and I had all the support from my direct manager, who mentored me and wanted to see me grow. Time and again, I would apply for positions I was qualified for and that were recommended to me, only to be turned down before the interview stage. If I could say one thing to anyone considering this organization: Don't - its not worth your time.
