      Pros

Flexible PTO and work from home

      Cons

This place used to be great, but since Private Equity investment in 2023 it has gone drastically downhill. A major merger in 2025 only accelerated this downturn. Client facing employees are scrutinized non stop for hours they often can't control, and internal employees face a complete lack of leadership while constantly unsure of the future of their jobs. Any attempts to address these concerns with leadership are ignored. The focus is on offshoring work to India and "enabling AI." I haven't talked to a single fellow employee in 8 months who is actually happy with the work environment.

Nonstop mergers cause overutilization and loss of benefits/perks

      Sr. software technician
      Current employee

      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Typically, yearly bonuses and remote work from home

      Cons

Baker Tilly used to feel like the best employee. I've been with the firm for 9 years and have watched us grow from 1500 employees to now close to 9000. In the past two years, since our last CEO left, the changes made my management and partners have proven nothing but greed by merging with larger firms and in turn giving lower compensation increases, lower bonuses and taking benefits and perks away. They are now focused on "utilization" .. in other words, overworking their employees.

      Pros

      flexible schedule, work from home

      Cons

Unable to enter or see hours worked. Missing hours from pay regularly. No real Human resource for contracted employees

Beware: this place is not what is seems

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Unlimited pto, disconnect days and work from home

      Cons

A place that acts like a big company but ran as a small business where the people that should be leading and knowledgeable are not. Micromanagement and power playing at its finest. No growth opportunities. No true leadership. Micromanagement. Fear of change. Awful middle management and lack of accountability. No care about truly doing better only looking good. Nobody seems to really know what they are doing.

      Pros

Flexible, could work from home if needed

      Cons

Limited to how fast you could accomplish a task. For example, printing had to be done through the admin team

Not the best place to work

      Marketing associate
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Work from home, decent benefits, work life balance

      Cons

I have been at Baker Tilly for 6 years now and it is not the firm it once was. With PE ownership and the recent merger with Moss Adams, expectations are high, workload is much higher, and pay is below industry standard. Benefits were also recently slashed and leadership is saying that it actually is better than last year. Not true. Right now is not a good time to be working here, especially as an internal employee. I do not recommend.

Dont recommend if you dont have prior experience

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Flexible hours and ability to work from home

      Cons

Onboarding needs improvement, looks like a lot of people quit in a short amount of time here
