It’s great to hear you feel supported in your role and that you have opportunities to progress, as these are all critical elements to building a strong and inclusive company culture. You’re right to flag how fast-paced the work can be. We do all we can to make sure that our team has the tools and guidance to thrive in this environment, regardless of someone’s role. Challenging problems, interesting space to work

      Pros

Green chute opportunity with new products, promising IP, exciting new direction with a new CEO who has considerable sector experience. Great career opportunities for high-performers. New management is fantastic, with long-term outlook stabilized.

      Cons

Recent changes were carried out a bit slower than many top performers would've hoped. There's still some areas where I think we could re-allocate capital to speed up commercial performance.

      Pros

The problem we are solving for enterprise businesses and HR leaders is super interesting, complex and challenging. Beamery is full of smart and genuinely lovely people - even in Sales! If you work hard, yet are thoughtful and collaborative in your approach, you will be welcomed, respected and thrive as part of the Beamteam. Everyone works hard and the pressure can feel immense at times. But the benefits are great. And if you're a sprint worker then you'll relish the "First Friday of the Month Unplugged" to give you a guaranteed 3 day weekend to recharge your boots ready for another sprint. I've had a fantastic personal experience in starting a family whilst at Beamery. Very supportive managers. I did not feel at any point that I lost out on career opportunities and was still offered a promotion in the run up to maternity leave. The leave and pay are also generous. And for my return to work, my co-workers have been consciously respectful and inclusive.

      Cons

This is a fast-moving tech scale up selling a complex offering into a rapidly evolving HR industry. Buckle in. For some, the rollercoaster might be too much of a ride. This is a tech scale up: some level of chaos is expected. You have to be able to roll with the punches, manage with a lack of process and handle uncertainty.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We’re thrilled that you believe in our mission and truly see the impact we’re having for businesses and their people. We’re proud to have built such an awesome team! Your thoughts about the need for alignment, focus on impact, and testing narratives with customers are really useful. All of these areas are things we think we do well already, but there’s always room to iterate and improve and this is something we’ll strive to do over the coming months. Thank you for being part of the Beamery team and for everything you’ve brought to the business so far. Abakar Saidov, Co-founder and CEO.

The worst experience I've had in a long time. Nothing but disappointing...

      Pros

The pay was what attracted me to the company in the first place, but what's the point if you're just going to be taken advantage of and more than likely fired after just a few months?

      Cons

Working here has been the worst experience I have had in a long time. Beamery couldn't care less about the people working for them. I thought working for this company would've been a fantastic career opportunity, but what I found was disappointing. Job security is nonexistent. Beamery has a habit of recklessly hiring more people whenever workloads are getting overwhelming, instead of providing more support for its employees. Then, whenever things settle down, they immediately toss all of them aside without any hesitation, rinse and repeat. Even if you manage to keep your job here, working here isn't worth your time because of the lack of opportunities. They fail to reward talented employees for their hard work. If you perform better than your colleagues, don't expect a raise or a promotion, because the only thing you'll be receiving is a heavier workload. You aren't even shown any appreciation; management just throws more work onto your lap. Don't make the same mistake that I and countless other people have made. Avoid Beamery at all costs!

      Pros

I’ve worked at Beamery for 2.6 years and had a great experience. They supported me with relocation and helped me get settled, including opportunities like speaking at a conference and participating in Beamery working groups, and hackathons. I’ve learned a lot, collaborated with talented individuals, and made lasting friendships. - Strong growth opportunities - Friendly and supportive culture - Competitive pay - Great perks (like Friday Unplug) - Good work-life balance

      Cons

      - It can be stressful at times, but no workplace is perfect.

      Pros

      - As an organization, our product truly makes a difference in improving the hiring process for companies across the globe and creates meaningful opportunities for talented individuals regardless of their background. As a sales rep, it is great to sell a product you truly believe in. - Remote first sales team with a great culture and opportunities to get together as a team. Great salary and benefits. US benefits and insurance are top of the line. Unlimited PTO, First Fridays unplugged each month to rest up and recharge. - Improving sales organization and culture—Renewed focus and leadership globally in the sales organization following SKO last month. Clear vision on where to focus our time and alignment on working together to exceed sales targets within ICP accounts. Sales leaders are supportive and in the trenches with AEs, extremely clear on expectations, and provide valuable feedback/coaching. - Opportunity to make an Impact - As a growing startup with a smaller sales team, there are a ton of accounts to go after to meet and exceed quota. If you like the challenge of hunting deals and finding whitespace opportunities, Beamery is a good fit for you. As a sales rep, you have a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company as a whole versus what you can do at a larger org. - Compensation Plan - Every AE is going to be looking for this bullet. The compensation plan meets & exceeds industry standards and rewards overperformance for surpassing quota. - Teamwork and collaboration—Beamery employees some of the most talented colleagues I have had the pleasure of working with across all departments. Folks are quick to respond to Slack or hop on a Zoom call to collaborate to solve a problem or help sign a new client.

      Cons

      - Startup Challenges - Fast-moving tech company that is not immune to growing pains. Things change rapidly in the HR industry, so you'll need to be able to roll with the punches and adapt accordingly. - Data Silos amongst teams - Teamwork is getting better on an individual level, but sometimes it can seem like decisions across departments are not looked at holistically. Communication of these changes/decisions could be improved as this information is often hard to find and not communicated thoroughly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us – the level of detail you’ve gone into is really useful and makes us better able to act on what you’ve mentioned. Our mission is super important, so we’re glad to hear you share our perspective, especially when you’re going to be representing Beamery in front of customers. We want all of our employees to feel valued and supported, and I believe our salary and overall benefits package go a long way to helping achieve this. We know we’re not perfect, though, and the issue of teams working in silos has come up before – this is something we’re working really hard to rectify. A more collaborative culture will help us all go further! We’re excited to see what the rest of 2024 holds, and I thank you for your contribution so far. Abakar Saidov, CEO and Co-founder
