      Pros

      - The people you work with on a day-to-day basis on the ground are amazing and have kept Beamery as a nice environment to work in - The benefits are great, unlimited holiday, first Friday of the month off, private healthcare - Hybrid working isn’t micromanaged yet, rumours of a return to office plan - Management are not horrible people, most are just inept

      Cons

      - The culture has taken a hit since the first round of redundancies and after the most recent layoffs I imagine it will only get worse - Terrible communication from management about anything worth knowing - Far too many talkers and not enough doers at the mid-management level, if you can spin the yarn then you will thrive at Beamery - C-Suite are in over their heads, budgets are out of control, and spending after Series C was mind-boggling (acquisition of Flux, buying their own office space due to founder egos). Nobody knows how they keep losing money, and making layoffs yet the C-Suite are completetly unaffected in their roles, maybe look within. - Obsessed with hiring from logos or McKinsey, at the time of the first layoffs in Jan 2023 a new team was spawned from Board member recommendations that have made no impact - The product is ever-changing with no clear roadmap, they need to stick to one niche and they will thrive

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It’s good to see our benefits package recognized, looking after our employees is important to us. Our people are some of the best of the business and we’re lucky to have them. There’s no escaping the fact that 2023 was a difficult year and we fully understand the impact this has had on the organization. The decisions we made were necessary to put the business on a quicker path to profitability, but of course it wasn’t easy saying goodbye to some extremely valued colleagues. Going into 2024 we believe we’re in a strong position to thrive, with a focused product strategy and brilliant leadership team. We appreciate you sticking with us and everything you’ve brought to Beamery so far. If you’d like to discuss any of the points you raised in more detail then please reach out directly. Beamery is a unicorn 🦄 by no accident. The founders are smart, agile and are ready to make bold decisions to make the company grow. They try their hardest to create a great company both from a performance and a culture perspective.

      Cons

With making the bold decisions, comes with it regular change sometimes it's hard to keep up with all the change 😁

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review here, thank you. Your words will resonate with a lot of our team - Beamery is an incredibly agile company and we’re proud of that. The HR sector has evolved so much in recent years and this is a both a challenge and a huge opportunity. Keeping at the forefront of this space has required change but we believe it is all for the better! Thank you for your trust in us and for everything you’ve contributed to Beamery so far. Pros

      - As time went on, most benefits were eroded as the company struggled more and more. - Decent pay still but very much attainable elsewhere. - Nice big office which no one seems to go to.

      Cons

      - Zero benefits left to speak of, used to get things such as sabbaticals and the first Friday off each month. -leadership are stuck in there own echo chamber and when things go bad they constantly look for the closest scapegoat. - people would disappear on slack overnight causing major disruption to projects and more often than not the role would not be backfilled causing mass amounts of workload on top of what you need to do already. - saw three separate CEOs at my time at the business representing them not knowing how to move forward or to save the business. - A CTO that would promise things on customer calls and not be able to deliver causing great upset among many customers. - Place feels like a sinking ship. - culture has been eroded and so has the faith of many causing most to do little and take a pay check until the ship sinks. - impossible to recommend to anyone given the state of the business and the amount of people that disappear. -Constant layoffs creating a fear amongst people not knowing who and when will be next. -They replaced the CEO too late in my view and it’s hard to see the business making it through the end of next year. -certain people that have eroded the culture and quite frankly incredibly rude remained in the business due to favouritism from senior members that should have departed a long time ago. -Toxic environment. - zero job security. - most seem to think they work for google and have an ego as such and can’t quite seem to figure out the reality of the situation. - founders were axed and new ceo appointed but this may be too little, too late. - the best have long gone leaving very average-low people trying to use buckets to empty water off the sinking ship. -Plenty of great companies out there, including startups with great culture, people and amplitude unfortunately Beamery is not one of them.

      - Very worthwhile mission statement of creating equal access to work for all - All the teams are great to work with - Amazing office space in central London - Work/life balance is 10/10 with some really great time-off benefits

      Cons

      - Ever changing product priorities/strategy sometimes hard to keep up with (feels like that is improving somewhat) - Tough layoffs in 2023 that could've been handled much better.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, it’s greatly appreciated. Our mission of creating equal access to work for all is at the heart of all we do so it’s great to hear this resonates with you. We know that the scale-up space can be extremely challenging so we know how important it is to create an environment with awesome benefits and work/life balance in order for our team to thrive. 2023 was a tough year for a lot of reasons, both in the tech sector and HR in particular but we’re feeling super confident heading into 2025 about the growth of the industry and Beamery itself. We’ve had to evolve consistently to keep up with the ongoing changes in the space and this has naturally led to some changes in our strategy, we’ll try and be even more about this in the future. Thank you again for your contribution to Beamery and we look forward to seeing what 2025 holds. Abakar Saidov. Co-founder & CEO

      Cons

I've spent a few years at the firm and over the time the company has had some serious change in their culture and direction. There is more chaos, less accountability and finger pointing at its peak in 2023. None of the leaders who make decisions are ever part of the layoff's. The handworkers are eventually pushed off a cliff. The product has some serious issues with customers eventually moving away, The directors and above who never addressed it were still not part of the layoff's which is a shame.

      Pros

Beamery has a welcoming, collaborative, and high-output culture. The team has a really clear strategy and good transparency from leadership and market opportunity that's exciting. With good perks and a leadership team that cares deeply for its people, providing good benefits and a supportive culture, Beamery is a great size company to join at this time to see your impact on the organization, while still having a well-resourced team working across all functions.

      Cons

After the HR and talent market experienced meteoric growth during the pandemic, the dynamics of the market cooled off, impacting Beamery and a lot of other providers in the space. The space itself is competitive with lots of entrenched providers, making the HR space not for everyone. If you want a challenge and are ready to join a hard-working company, Beamery is a great place to cut your teeth and be part of the growth

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about working here, we really appreciate hearing from our team first-hand! It’s great to hear about the collaborative culture and transparency from leadership in particular as these are both areas we’ve worked hard to improve. We’re lucky to have so many talented people in the Beamery team right now and we want to make sure they're properly looked after, as well as being challenged with impactful work - all of which we offer. We know the HR sector is evolving rapidly right now, but with this change comes enormous opportunity and that is what we’re aiming to capitalise on. Thank you again for your hard work and dedication to driving Beamery forwards. Abakar Saidov, Co-founder & CEO.

Having been at Beamery for quite a few years, I can confidently say it's a great place to work if you truly believe in the organization's mission and are passionate about your work. You'll collaborate with brilliant minds, shape the company culture, and voice your opinions. Opportunities for growth exist if you consistently perform. Beamery nurtures talent, challenges you, and values feedback. Layoffs were handled compassionately, which is rare. Overall, for those willing to give their best and work with passion, Beamery is a fantastic company to be part of.

      Cons

As a growing company, we may rush decisions, risking mistakes unintentionally. Silos and overlooked unsung heroes due to reserved nature or work type. Recognizing and rewarding after-hours work may affect work-life balance, that may question the company's high performance culture.

      Cons

Company stuck in ‘start up’ culture, resistant to process implementation. Company and team priorities constantly changing making projects impossible to complete and OKRs impossible to fulfil. A lack of care for diversity (leadership are all men (majority white)). They hired a woman Chief People Officer who was gone after approx. 6 months (despite doing some great things for the people of Beamery). Her responsibilities were given to a man, unqualified to take these on. A poor culture around data. Seen examples of team leaders ignoring results that are negative and only interested in results that reaffirm what they are doing is the correct course of action. They spent huge amounts on media that produced little returns and ignored it until budgets were cut after another round of layoffs within the same year, despite it being regularly raised by team members. With this type of culture, it is no wonder they are in the financial position that they are. Some team leaders are lacking the experience necessary to support their team members. You will often see a lack of leadership and management skills if you have not diversified your experience. This leads to a lack of support and a feeling of isolation for those people in the team.

I started my journey at Beamery as a Business Development Representative (BDR) and was fortunate enough to transition internally into Product Marketing. This move was a testament to the company’s commitment to employee growth and development. The team and colleagues at Beamery are nothing short of amazing. The camaraderie, mutual respect, and shared passion for our work make every day a pleasure. The product we work on is top-notch, backed by a talented development team that continually pushes the boundaries of what’s possible. One of the standout aspects of working at Beamery is the generous annual leave policies and overall benefits. The company truly values work-life balance and the well-being of its employees. A notable mention is the 6 weeks of paid paternity leave, which was an incredible support during a significant time in my life. The work at Beamery is fast-paced, but it’s made manageable and enjoyable by great managers who lead with empathy and understanding. We are tasked with deep challenges in building new products, but the smart and dedicated people I work with make these challenges exciting puzzles to solve. My experience at Beamery has been extremely positive. It’s a place where hard work is recognized, personal growth is encouraged, and where you get to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry. I look forward to continuing my journey here.

      Cons

Working at Beamery has been a rewarding experience, but like any company, it has its challenges. One of the main issues has been the frequent changes in products and vision. This constant evolution, while exciting, can sometimes be overwhelming and create a sense of uncertainty. Recently, the company went through a difficult phase with layoffs. This was a challenging time for everyone involved. However, it’s important to note that these decisions were not made lightly and were necessary for the company’s long-term sustainability. In response to these challenges, Beamery has taken significant steps to improve transparency, particularly regarding its financials. While the reality isn’t always pretty, this openness has been appreciated. It has helped us understand the company’s position and the reasons behind certain decisions. Despite these hurdles, it’s clear that Beamery is on a promising path. The company has shown resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity. The leadership team is committed to learning from these experiences and making Beamery an even better place to work. While Beamery has its share of challenges, it’s the company’s response to these challenges that truly defines it. The commitment to transparency, employee growth, and product excellence makes me optimistic about our future here. I’m excited to be part of this journey and look forward to what lies ahead.
