Relocating to Vienna for work has been an enriching decision; I deeply appreciate the city, and being based at headquarters is pivotal given the company culture and the comprehensive benefits package. Additionally, the benefits, including competitive salary, stock options, and enticing bistro offerings, are truly remarkable. In my experience at Bitpanda, my second venture into the fintech industry, I have found it to be an exceptional environment for learning. The supportive team readily provides assistance, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. I can only recommend Bitpanda as a genuine disruptor within the fintech industry.

As an intern, avoid this company. No promotion opportunities, the company just sees you as a number to be employed for six months, after which you either have the option to stay on as an intern for the same salary with no extra benefits, or you can leave and they will hire someone else as an intern anyway. There is a high turnover of interns because of this. Pay is poor, no extra benefits like other workers, in return you can do the same or worse work as your co-workers for less pay. The management is toxic, 2 years ago there was a big downsizing in the company, since then everyone is scared of their job because you never know if you will have a job tomorrow or not, and the market itself changes everyday.

Limited and not differentiating compared to other companies. Initially, Bitpanda was characterized by its high benefits and the promotion of professional development. Lately, this is no longer the case; quite the opposite.

High pressure to achieve your goals (which are unrealistic) Lack of organization. No clear strategy. There's a clear glass ceiling if you don't speak German or aren't originally from the DACH region. Culturally, they want leaders and team leaders who meet this requirement (and if they're men, even better).

Most colleagues were fantastic, both professionally and personally. The offices and benefits were decent.

Unclear expectations, limited support from management. The knowledge-base relies heavily on other specialists. A more standardized approach would improve objectivity.
