      Pros

Modern perks and benefits on the surface Fast-paced environment for people who enjoy pressure Exposure to different areas of the business early on

      Cons

The company positions itself as a “high-performing culture,” but in practice this often translates to fear-based management and frequent terminations Little genuine investment in employee growth or well-being beyond short-term output Work quality and internal processes feel immature for how the company presents itself Highly political environment, which makes collaboration difficult Teams tend to operate in silos, as people focus narrowly on their own areas to protect performance metrics Limited opportunities for internal promotion; leadership roles are typically filled through external hires and very limited mentorship and growth opportunities provided Concerning decline in diversity at the executive level over recent years

      Pros

Amazing culture, great benefits, fun team! Plus lots of opportunities to learn/grow and a great company outlook.

      Cons

Fast paced, you must be able to adapt and change quickly.

Thanks so much for sharing this. The pace is real; we're glad it's feeling worth it though. Really happy you're here.

      Pros

Hypergrowth for company and individually means that you get to have lots of opportunities and shared successes. The company has incredible benefits and I've never been so professionally fulfilled in my career.

      Cons

There's a lot to do! If you aren't good at prioritizing, it can feel overwhelming.

We do serious work, but don't take ourselves too seriously

      Pros

So many! But a few notable pros: - Incredible career and market opportunity with the company growing at an unprecedented rate - Talented team that's also warm and welcoming (including the execs) who live by the company values and clearly love what they do / have fun while doing it - Remote workforce offers flexibility, but bi-annual internal Summits give you the chance to get that in-person energy, and are designed to take advantage of the time together - Best-in-class benefits for a Series C startup (10-year equity exercise window, fertility benefits and 18 weeks leave for birthing parents, 100% healthcare covered for you and your dependents)

      Cons

Not a con, necessarily, but be ready to go at startup speed! There are a decent amount of folks at Chainguard from larger companies and it can be a transition, but a welcome one for me personally.

The best tech talent i've ever worked with in my career

      Pros

      - Fast-paced, very successful, fast-growing startup - Fully remote, with teams across the US, Europe and India - We meet in person multiple times per year - The work we're doing is making a real difference in improving product security in this space - Some of the best talent in the industry works here - While we're a revenue-driven company, we also have a commitment to open source - The engineering culture, our core values, and company values

      Cons

We're a very successful, busy, fast-paced startup. If you're someone who thrives in this environment, you'll grow and advance your career quickly.

Toxic leadership and high turnover; SHIP is sinking

      Pros

There is nothing good about this company. It all looks shiny from outside.

      Cons

Giving away products for free. Micromanagement in Sales org. Look at the number of people leaving the company within 1 year of joining. CEO is inexperienced and the team around him has no clue how to grow. Product has not grown and deal sizes if any have reduced. STAY AWAY from this place and save your career.
