      Pros

      - Truly wonderful people and a highly collaborative, supportive environment Interesting, impactful work paired with a mission that genuinely matters - Competitive pay and perks, and refreshingly no politics - High trust culture, you’re empowered to do your job without micromanagement - Fantastic company culture, plus bi-annual company kickoffs that are so much fun and bring everyone together

      Cons

If you're not a self starter you might get lost in the busy-ness! There's a lot of work and it's very hands on - true start up culture. It is not at the expense of work-life balance though!

Great benefits and flexibility, but processes need clarity

      Pros

Great benefits and compensation. The work-from-home flexibility they advertise is genuinely supported in practice. Strong communication across teams and great colleagues to work with. The company also promotes a healthy work-life balance, with employees being very respectful of different time zones and schedules.

      Cons

There could be more consistency around processes, controls, and standardization across teams. At times, policies and procedures could be communicated and enforced more clearly to help improve alignment and accountability organization-wide. I also noticed that while cross-functional collaboration is encouraged and appreciated, there are occasions where decision-making can become blurred across departments. In some cases, it may be more effective for final decisions to remain with the manager or leadership team responsible for that area. There are situations where clearer “black and white” guidelines and expectations would help create more consistency and efficiency.

Just started but loving what I see so far!

      Pros

Fully remote company, compensation is well above average including full paid medical for your entire family (a first for me in 20+ years), and (among other stipends) you get $300 a month (that can roll over each month within a calendar year) to spend on virtually anything you want. Everyone seems genuine, excited, and engaged.

      Cons

I'd have liked to see a little bit more equity, but they do give you 10 years after exiting the company to exercise your options, which is very unique in the industry. No 401k matching, but (especially for startups) that is the norm these days.

      Pros

Dialed-in leadership with clear goals and detailed planning to achieve them. Brilliant support and customer success team who are focused and make customers very happy. Excellent engineering management and teams that work well and deliver. Fun place to work with the right atmosphere. Everyone has time for you and is welcoming and great to work with. Well though out benefits and good compensation. Great HR/People Ops. Obviously a fantastic product that makes a huge difference to cyber security. Great remote setup/policies.

      Cons

Its hard work, but this is normal in a young company.

Become an "AI" company with no way to measure success

      Staff software engineer

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Excellent compensation, remote work, interesting work solving a real problem.

      Cons

Leadership has become AI brained and is requiring the use of AI for all tasks. You will be judged on the number of tokens you use rather than the quality of your work. They have no other measure for success for AI, just tokens. The company is a "safe space" unless you have critical opinions about AI. So many senior people are leaving, probably because of this nonsense.

Thanks for sharing this. It's specific and that makes it useful. Measuring AI success is something we're still figuring out. Tokens aren't the answer and quality of work absolutely is. We hear you on that. We also want to be a place where critical thinking about AI is part of how we operate, not something people feel they have to keep to themselves. If that hasn't felt true, that's worth taking seriously. We're glad you're still here and still sharing meaningful feedback.

      Pros

Fast moving company. I think my manager cares. Pay is above market rate for size

      Cons

This is not a con, but if you need firm processes to get things going, this is not the place for you. Work/life balance could be better, but it's up to you to manage

      Pros

Creative and passionate people working to secure open source. Great culture, quality benefits, and a product that fits the market!

      Cons

As a newer company still some disparate communication and growing pains, but positioned in the right direction for impactful change.

Thanks for sharing your experience and for being part of the team! We’re glad the mission, people, and product stood out to you. There’s a lot of passion across the team, and it’s great to hear that’s been your experience so far. We also appreciate the note on communication and growing pains. We know that comes with scaling quickly, and it’s something we’re continuing to work on.
