What are perks and other benefits like at DDN?

Challenging Work: The projects are challenging and engaging. Providing a great sense of accomplishment.

High Expectations: The company sets high standards, which can be demanding, but it also pushes you to excel.

There WERE great people who worked there. But wow, they are dropping like flies. “Unlimited” PTO

Benefits are weak, pay is way below industry for engineers. Leadership is literally ripping out entire departments from the top down.A VP is fired, the new person starts, the new person fires the entire team and replaces it with their own people. A person will be let go and days later the replacement will start. It has impacted so many departments and isn’t stopping any time soon. I’ve already seen it happen in Product/engineering, Finance, HR, Recruiting and other outlying departments. Most people I’m aware of are actively looking because they know the goal is to basically rebuild the company with all new people. It’s chaotic, it’s toxic, RUN!

The benefits are above and beyond the monetary rewards. Management gives constructive criticism when it's needed, and I have received more positive feedback and recognition here than anywhere else.

Good work/life balance. Fully remote.

Communication from C-level needs improvement. Benefits and pay could also use improvement.

Pay and benefits are not competitive. They do not realize the need to reward top talent accordingly

Just a few colleagues. If you don't like your manager, you just wait a few months and you'll have a new one (probably worse than the previous).

Chaotic environment. Toxic culture. They'll add you to an on-call rotation. If you don't agree, say good bye to any raises and expect to be fired. 60 hours week are normal. You'll work weekends. One of the values of the company is 24x7 (so don't believe HR here when they say they don't expect you overwork because it is actually one of their values). If you don't, expect no raises, no options and you'll be fired quickly. Pay is below average. They implemented a stock option plan that is so absolutely ridiculous that everybody minimally competent should quickly leave. Benefits are below average. Culture is toxic and it starts at the very top. Whenever they replace leadership (often) they just look for small dumb dictators that believe engineers are just resources. They don't ever have a clear idea of what to do with the product and shoot in all directions, because they are clueless. They are all fired after a few months and replaced with a new bunch of mediocre dumb dictators. No career progression. Pure chaos. Pure marketing.
