      Pros

      It’s 100% remote Paid training

      Cons

Ciox now Datavant is a terrible place to work at. Starting off with the hiring the training was annoying you started off with a group of people most of them are annoying because they decide to speak loudly to the people in their homes/background so badly that the trainers have to mute them. You will probably not stay on the team you were hired in. You log in one day and you’re under a new supervisor doing a completely different task that you weren’t hired in for. If you do apply here and decide to risk your mental health for this company that is strictly number driven just pray to whatever entity of your choosing that you don’t have to work on the customer service team. That horribly crafted team is responsible for taking all calls for Datavant regarding patient, insurance, attorney, workers comp, billing etc. There is no structure at all, the HCA hospital workers transfer all calls to Datavant so they don’t have to deal with them half of them don’t even have anything to do with the services Datavant can provide. The processors do a poor job of looking for records so there are tons of complaints about correspondence letters and information missing from the request that have been processed and on the phone time you have the lovely honor of trying to reason with and calm down requestors who are rightfully upset because a moron couldn’t take the time to read the request in full to get what was asked! The leads are insufferable and are the equivalent to “super seniors” they’ve been with the company 10+ years in some cases and they get a fancy title as a lead because they don’t have the qualifications to become and actual supervisor but don’t worry the ego and attitudes they carry make up for the lack of pay they receive for their super special job. They are basically useless and you have to fend for yourself when you get irate callers who have been trying to get medical records for extended periods of time but some how the request have been cancelled, “forwarded to the correct team to process”, canceled for being a duplicate which is hardly ever the case but the processors don’t pay attention to the difference in detail that a request from the same sender for the same patient might have, or my personal favorite, a correspondence has been sent out in error because if the intelligently challenged processors they hire. You are asked to add these issues to the escalation sheet which is useless and basically you’re relogging a request that could’ve been processed correctly if people paid better attention and didn’t cut corners while doing there job but who knows maybe they’re just under the intense pressure to produce numbers because that’s all the company cares about with no care in the world with how it jeopardizes the quality of service provided. In conclusion don’t work here unless you’re beyond desperate for a remote job or need a check no matter the circumstances and even then with the pay that is offered you’re better off working at McDonalds or Wendy’s honestly I hear chipotle has pretty decent benefits and tuition reimbursement. I think I’ve spent enough time with this review well you know what speaking of time, good luck with trying to accrue PTO it’s nearly impossible unless you are salary and depending on what team you’re on they give you a hard time when trying to use it.

      Pros

I'm lucky to have an amazing direct manager who is always supportive and encouraging. The company offers great benefits, including tuition reimbursement, which I used to earn my HIM Bachelor's degree. There’s a lot of opportunity for growth if you’re motivated, and the company is expanding and looking for strong, driven people.

      Cons

Not everyone has the same supportive leadership experience that I’ve been fortunate to have, so consistency in management could be improved across the board.
