Ever since Brookfield bought this company from Duke they have been trying to run everything leaner and leaner. All the technical teams are overworked and understaffed. Upper management is a bunch of financial-minded people running Deriva like we're a finance company - actually operating our fleet of renewables sites feels like an afterthought most of the time. They abandoned their hybrid work structure for 4-day RTO with no input from employees despite it making no sense for a large portion of the company. Turnover is high as a lot of people bail and it's only going to get worse in the coming months. I've heard it said that Deriva operates like a tech startup with none of the benefits of working for a tech startup, which feels pretty accurate.

The thought of Brookfield selling us again! Any way to speed up the process?

Turnover, bunch of fake smiles and fake leadership from Charlotte. No clear vision from corporate if they don't see any personal benefits.

Fair compensation, good benefits, good bonuses

Overworked and severely understaffed. High turnover

Secure work, consistent enough schedule,

Extremely poor and dishonest management, expensive benefits. Seemingly going downhill fast and focusing away from operability for short term profits. No upward communication.

Individuals at the director levels and below are great to work with.

The C-Suite and Brookfield are destroying what was once a great company to work for. The culture has taken a turn for the worse leading to a lot of attrition. On a regular day-to-day everyone talks about how unhappy and overworked they are. Expectations are high, pay is low, and the C-Suite micromanages everything. Unfortunately the people at the top are out of touch and want to run the company like a private equity firm without the benefits or compensation. Realistically, the CEO does not care about the employees and only care about his payoff at the exit, it’s abundantly clear and no one has anything positive to say about him. Unless you are in dire need of a job, look anywhere else.

Great 401k Decent pay Opportunity to make a difference

Zero work/life balance. Working weekends, nights and while on PTO are all expected here. Insane timelines and expectations. Continued reckless behavior from multiple levels of management. Turn over of employees here is alarming and not stopping. RTO 4x a week "Start up culture" with none of the benefits of being in a start-up. Not very generous PTO policy, but you probably won't be able to use it, so it doesn't matter!
