What are perks and other benefits like at Dye & Durham?

Good for start a career or student job

no support for career development. No clear process for tasks and very few benefits, just the bare minimum.

My time so far at Dye & Durham has been great and with lots of exciting things happening for the future, it's a good time to be along for the ride. One of the benefits of being a global company is that there are plenty of opportunities to learn and collaborate with team members from all across the world. For example, I've had the opportunity to travel to the UK, attend numerous client events, and be a part of internal employee initiatives aimed to build deeper connections across regions. I have also gotten plenty of exposure to senior management because of this. It is an environment that promotes hard-working individuals, idea sharing, open communication, and forward-thinking. You have the opportunity to fast track your career as management are very supportive of any ideas that you bring to the table and are willing to help provide key measures to ensure you stay on track in your development. The people and culture have also been amazing. I enjoy coming to work every day and interacting with my team members and colleagues throughout the office. There is a real desire to build deeper connections.

Teams are often understaffed which leads to some delays in projects and increased workloads. Although this does allow for you to be involved in numerous ongoing projects at once, it may take away time from you to focus on projects you want to start and bring to fruition.

They had good benefits and pay was OK

The management layer above me was completely inept and not fit for managing engineers of any kind.

As 1 of 100 employees acquired in 2020, I am only the second to retire, and there are less than 5 still at the company. Almost every other employee was laid off in wave after wave over 6 years. The company has returned to contracting out and outsourcing overseas. Senior management is trying to right a sinking ship, and doesn't care about employees.

Everything is a spreadsheet exercise in pursuit of profit. Zero regard for employees and customers. They play the sort game. "Nothing personal", but their business decisions and how these are implemented has very real consequences for staff and customers.

There are no benefits in working for this company.

This Company is only interested in buying other companies and selling them for profit

Team members and close colleagues

Leadership at the top have no idea how to run a company. Say they are all for the people but haven't got a clue about how the team that make up the company feel. Closing offices down and then forcing people into offices that are further away without any increase in pay. Opening up new offices in London when no one wants to travel to London all because the CEO wants the big office in London. Price increase for customers all the time and no added benefits for the customers, talk about a one stop solution for solicitors but nowhere near ready for this and the continuing cutting off work force and staff will further delay this.
