Cons
I regret to say that my experience at Fashion Nova was extremely disappointing. The work environment was not only toxic but also extremely draining. Employees are expected to work long hours without proper recognition or support, and there’s a clear lack of work-life balance. Management’s focus on unrealistic expectations often led to burnout and a significant decrease in morale. The unprofessionalism of C level execs (and the lack of a true CMO) left for a lot of chaos within the merchandising team without clear direction and follow through.
What stood out the most was how undervalued employees were, despite putting in hard work and dedication. There was little to no appreciation for the efforts made, and positive feedback was rarely given. The company consistently pushed employees to their limits without offering the necessary resources or respect.
The negative reputation of the company made it difficult for them to fill open positions, which only added to the strain on existing staff. It's evident that the poor working conditions, combined with management's inability to retain talent, have contributed to a cycle of high turnover and low employee satisfaction.
If you're seeking a healthy, supportive, and balanced work environment, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. I genuinely hope the company will take a hard look at their management practices and treatment of employees, as it’s clear that the current approach is unsustainable for both individual well-being and long-term success.
