The only positive aspect of working at FatFace was the team of lovely employees. They were supportive, friendly, and made the experience somewhat bearable despite the toxic environment created by management.
Cons
Toxic Management: The manager was an absolute nightmare—unempathetic, racist, and spent most of the time doing nothing but bossing people around.
Dictatorship-Like Environment: The manager fostered constant conflict, gossip, and badmouthing among staff, making the workplace hostile.
Biased Treatment: Flexible working hours were granted to others but denied to me when I genuinely needed them for health reasons.
Lack of Transparency: Important policies affecting pay were not explained, leaving me feeling cheated.
Inept Assistant Manager: Despite 10 years of experience, she was unhelpful and constantly avoided taking responsibility, while subtly badmouthing the manager behind his back.
High Turnover: Employees were leaving every month due to the toxic environment.
Useless HR: HR sided with management and dismissed genuine complaints without investigation.
Unrealistic Expectations: Management piled on work and pushed targets without offering any real support.
Working here was one of the most draining and demoralising experiences of my life. It’s not worth the stress or frustration. The other employees were the only saving grace in an otherwise unbearable job.
