      Cons

Please do not join this law firm if you want a happy and healthy career. If ever in doubt, search on Indeed and they ALWAYS have a vacancy for an Associate and there is a reason for that. Some "managers" have been stuck in the same position for years and will step on anyone to progress. Forget about showing any form of weakness be it mental health of physical, they will tear you up. The constant revolving door of new recruits should be a major red flag. Some staff mock, laugh and ever abuse their corporate clients behind their backs as if they're not paying £5,000 for an application which takes 2 hours to complete. Be careful of who you trust and never let your guard down especially with your managers. Back stabbing is a normal process and you will be micromanaged to an extent that your manager will know how many breaths you take in a day. AVOID AT ANY COST. they will hook you with good salary but you will regret every day you work there.

Almost 6 years later and I find myself on this glassdoor page. All I can say is, if you are reading this, and you are thinking of leaving - please leave. You may think that this is how it is in the legal world, but it's not. This job left me feeling suicidal and severely depressed. I almost lost my marriage. Constantly humiliated. Work-hard, play-hard culture. No care for the quality of cases being submitted. Bullied, humiliated, left to feel stupid and worthless. 6 years later I run my own firm. The only think this expereince taught me was how to not operate in the world of immigarion. I have a 5 star to diversity only because they hire new immigrants to exploit them.

      Good Entry-Level Position

      Business immigration analyst
      Former employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Getting the position was really easy, and I say this without having prior office experience on my resume. The barrier to entry is almost non-existent, which is great if you're trying to make a transition (ex. food service to office work). Stay for 1-3 years, and you'll be able to find a better job elsewhere. This is what I did, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to gain experience! I was able to transition to a competitor, and I'm satisfied.

      Cons

Management isn't flexible or understanding, with an exception for a few managers (but there's only so much they can do, because of their bosses). I don't know where their priorities are, but it's not in quality or employees.

Great Benefits but Bad Manager Experience

      Senior immigration analyst

      Pros

Great benefits and generally friendly co-workers.

      Cons

Was unlucky in getting a bad supervisor. She was cold and wrote a negative performance review after I asked HR a question.
