      Pros

Givebutter stands apart from other tech-for-good companies because its mission is genuinely embedded throughout the culture from top to bottom. I have worked at other nonprofit technology companies that, at times, prioritized the bottom line ahead of the organizations they served, so it has been incredibly refreshing to be part of the Givebutter team and experience a different model. Here, actions are consistently congruent with the values the company promotes.

      Cons

Typical growing pains - nothing alarming

Amazing culture and benefits, and great opportunities to advance internally.

      Cons

This is a very high-paced, high-volume environment. Expect to work 10 hour days.

      Pros

      - Amazing and motivating team! The culture is warm, friendly, and inviting - Purposeful mission: We're doing valuable work and we get to see the impact directly - People-first benefits: We have a wellness week, unlimited PTO to recharge

      Cons

      - We move really fast. This can be a con for some. But in moving fast, we're able grow quickly.

      Pros

Givebutter believes in building amazing products that change people's lives. Leadership fosters a fast-paced culture with talented teammates and low egos that make it genuinely fun to show up to work every day. I love that I feel good about our mission, the customers we serve, the people I work with, and the compensation/benefits I receive.

      Cons

None that I can think of. Remote work means fewer in-person interactions, which can be isolating, but the company has a great remote culture and still invests in making in-person meetups happen.

      Pros

This is one of the most innovative and mission-driven companies I’ve worked for. The founders are incredible leaders who genuinely lead with humility, and they’ve built a culture where the *best idea in the room wins*—and they actually mean it. It’s a fast-moving, action-oriented environment where decisions are made quickly based on market and customer needs, which makes it exciting to be part of. The team is full of supportive, kind, and highly motivated people who truly have the best intentions for each other. At the end of the day, it feels great knowing that the work we do helps nonprofits succeed.

      Cons

Like any startup, there are some growing pains. The benefits aren’t the most competitive, and as the company scales, we’re still building out systems and processes that weren’t needed in the early days but are becoming more necessary now. That said, leadership is aware of these challenges and working on them.

Lots to love. Probably worth the tradeoffs.

      Pros

      - Really fantastic people and a great culture - Company is doing very well - Feels like a startup without all the uncertainty of a brand new company - Company is adding benefits over time (401k match, dependent care, etc) - You will do work that directly enables organizations you support

      Cons

      - Base compensation is pretty low. Equity compensation is very low. - Some common benefits still missing (life insurance) - You will also do work that directly enables organizations you oppose
