Pros
Optional OT in maintenance department
Double time on Sundays, if you work a 12 on a holiday the last 4 is 2.5x pay
Most of staff is over 100k, a lot near 200k
Not back breaking labor
Good coworkers
Interesting equipment
Most supervisors are down to earth
A lot of troubleshooting (PLCs, VFDs, Robots, controls)
If you get laid off they still pay you; a lot of Union benefits for tradesmen
Most of my checks net 2k + (weekly) I do work a lot of OT though
A lot of leniency on attendance (12 pts)
Cons
Work like balance
Forget about 1st shift (based on seniority)
Horrible vacation policy (1 week first 3 years)
Sick? Call off you don’t get paid
Dirty, heavy industrial. This place is inlike any job Ive had culture wise, you do get used to it and the $$$ is worth it
