      Pros

People are great, you'll find some amazing colleagues both in the UK and Serbia Great worklife balance and flexibility

Rarely any progression unless your based in Serbia Rarely any opportunities for development- even when you ask Persistent redundancies so not much job security regardless of where you are in the business

Thank you for sharing your experience, we appreciate your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with progression and development hasn’t met expectations. We also understand that changes can create uncertainty, and we’re committed to maintaining transparent communication with everyone working at Hyperoptic. if you'd find that beneficial, please don't hesitate to speak with your manager about your concerns. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We pride ourselves in creating a positive environment for our colleagues so it's great to hear we're doing just that. It is difficult to respond specifically about your perception of job security without knowing more details. However, please be assured that we are committed to supporting colleagues at all stages of their careers and that you can always reach out to discuss your job and your concerns related to it. Thank you again, the Culture and Engagement Team.

      A backstabbers paradise

      Pros

This goes without saying, but most of the coworkers are lovely genuine people who will become your friends sooner than you can imagine. Team-work is strong and whenever you need help, someone is there to help you. Salary is on time.

      Cons

People with little to no results are promoted and nobody really knows why, making the management really hard to respect. For the past year+ in CS, with the arrival of new management, there has been a really unhealthy atmosphere in the team, causing anyone who critiques any new initiatives to be ostracized, it's gone so far that team leaders aren't even asked for their opinion anymore, but everything is run by a few people with extremely limited knowledge and/or management expertise. There is a history of talking in a negative way about other colleagues with lower level employees, undermining other agents, managers or team leaders. About 10 cases are known of this happening, but HR refuses to do anything about this until mobbing charges are raised. They will only discuss things behind closed doors with no record of conversations, probably to save themselves from legal repercussions down the line. Seniority doesn't really grant you any rights. You will receive a 0% increase in your yearly salary review, with no real explanation why that is. They will tell you that feedback and the salary review are not mandatory. They will tell you that you're not a key player, but will not explain why you're not a key player. Budgets and benefits are being cut left and right, and there are rumors going around that the company is to be sold in the near future. Many people have been fired both in Serbia and the UK and essentially nobody is safe, if you're looking for a stable company, skip this one. Tools used to support the service are picked because they're cheap, not because they fit our workload best, leading to a billion problems usually taking months to fix. There's a massive cultural issue where Serbian employees are essentially considered lesser beings to their UK counterparts. There is 0 investment in people. If you're looking for learning, courses, seminars, forget about it, you will not find it here. If you're selected to conduct interviews, and it's your first time, you're just expected to know how to do it. If you're selected to manage a team, and it's your first time managing one, you're just expected to know how to do it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take your feedback seriously and would urge you to contact your local HR Business Partner to discuss your experiences. We are committed to ensuring that every employee feels heard and valued, and we have policies in place, such as our grievance policy, to support this. We understand your concerns about the salary review process. Our annual salary reviews are designed to ensure fair remuneration based on job performance and market standards. However, not every review results in an increase, as it depends on various factors that are defined for each review cycle. We continuously review and enhance our employee benefits and learning programs. For instance, on the top of our existing offering including on line learning system that contains various leadership and functional trainings, we have recently introduced Rezilient as our Employee Assistance Programme to support everyone's wellbeing, and we are launching a new line manager development programme in Q2 this year. We are also investing in our people in other ways – for example, opening a new office in Belgrade and launching new AI-driven tools and systems to help make things easier for our people so they can continue to provide a 5-star experience for our customers. Thank you again for your feedback. We are committed to making Hyperoptic a great place to work and appreciate your insights. The Culture and Engagement Team

      Pros

People are nice but not smart. Go there if u are a fresh graduate and u need working experience.

      Cons

My manager did micro management to us which made everyone so stressful in the team. They laid off lots of people without replacing them and forced the rest of the team to pick up the stuff. You will be assigned to do extra works that are totally out of scope. Their benefit, bonus, pay were getting worse so lots of people left the company. They hired people who were cheap but not able to do their jobs well. There was no career progression or development in this company. The office location was bad so they could only hire people who live in West London. Please avoid this company if you could.

Managers do nothing and earn huge salary and bonuses. Engineers do all the work and get treated badly. All engineers in London will lose their jobs. As they're giving then to subcontractors

You may finish early on some day Engineers here are some of the most amazing people you'll meet.

      Cons

Management is useless, you'll be thrown left, right and center between departments. They will use you and abuse you then throw you out themselves or make you so fed up that you leave yourself. Managers are rude and swear at staff openly and are surprised if pulled up on it. P.s. all engineering work is being phased out to contractors. All engineers will lose their jobs.
