Company no longer takes care of their employees.

      Pros

I had the privilege of working under some wonderful supervisors and management during my time at Intrado. Collaborating with most of my colleagues was a joy, and it led to lasting friendships. I valued the flexibility I had when needed, and despite changes, the vacation and sick time policies remained generous. Remote work played a crucial role in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While the medical benefits were good, they were on the expensive side.

      Cons

The compensation consistently fell short of expectations. Whenever questioned about salary increases, the response was always that the company couldn't afford it. Layoffs were frequent, with recent ones leaving entire accounts with only high-level backup staff. Managers and supervisors tried to maintain morale, but they had little they could promise. The option to work fully remote was a significant advantage for many, especially given the low pay. However, the company kept leading everyone on from 2020 onwards. I was promised a promotion for years, only to be told that my focus should remain on the additional duties I had taken on before any consideration for advancement. Employee surveys became less frequent, and the topics seemed carefully chosen to avoid certain issues.
