I think this was intended as a review of the interview process but we'll take it here on the main page too :) The Hiring Team is a big part of the first impression people get on what it's like to work at Jane, so I'm really glad you had a great experience with them. 🩵 Jeffrey who you worked with was pinged on your review, so we gave him a nice 🙌 on helping provide you with a great process. Looking forward to seeing how you help us continue to improve in our UX - such a vital part of delighting our helpers! I love how much the experience of our Customer Community is dependant on great design and so I know you'll have a massive impact at Jane. Ali Co-Founder/Co-CEO On Behalf of Jane

      Pros

Working at Jane has been an incredibly exciting and rewarding journey, both personally and professionally. The day to day work is engaging and impactful which personally unlocks my motivation through fostering a growth mindset and allowing for the ownership of projects/ ability to tackle issues head on. With the business undergoing exciting growth, there are constant opportunities for making a real impact that goes beyond the scope of a role. I am fortunate enough to work with extremely smart and caring people who make going into work everyday enjoyable. From a people lens, the company is very thoughtful on how it approaches elements that involve all things people beginning at our hiring process where active feedback is given to successful and non successful candidates positioning them for success. Performance, coaching, compensation, and time off, are built through the lens of being human and helpful first. The company's perks go above and beyond. There’s a clear and intentional commitment from Senior Leadership—and even the founders themselves—to ensure every team member not only thrives but also enjoys their time at Jane. The leadership team is transparent and caring, creating an environment where employees feel supported and motivated. The company is at a pivotal stage of growth and strongly positioned for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. The Jane platform itself is a major draw for many who are initially attracted to the company. The upcoming work on product enhancements and feature additions for the upcoming year is especially exciting.

      Cons

Based on where we are at in our growth phase there is lag with appropriate tooling which can lead to more manual work (opportunities for efficiencies). This is something that leadership is aware of this and is actively working to address as part of their growth strategy. There are opportunities for unlocking communication improvements as we scale - specifically with information overload (important updates can be lost in busy channels) and ensuring that everyone has the information they need to do their work at the right time (timezone, remote challenges)

Thanks for the 🥰 review from your view in the People Team :) I'm so glad you're finding your job to be so personally rewarding! Everyone has a different vantage point at Jane based on role and length of time on the team - and the People team is part of so many of the Pros that you mention. 💕 I enjoyed spending some time with the whole team at your onsite and it was nice to talk about how the recruiting team are all looking for kindness in applicants, even without it being something that had been formalized in our hiring assessments. It really has been a lovely way to add so many wonderful humans to the team. I fully agree with you on the challenges of scaling communication along with a team and company complexity. If you asked me what I think is the most challenging thing about scaling, communication and alignment would be my answer. Everything we do flows from there - where we go and how we get there depend on everyone working from the same blueprint. Thanks for being a part of the team that supports our people in doing their best work - our customers experience is dictated by our team's experience. I love that a thriving team creates a fantastic product and a delighted customer. And both of those things lead to a successful business. It's nice that Love Jane (the product, customer, team and company), Work Hard and Have Fun remain a blueprint worth following. Here's to building Jane in a Human, Helpful and Delightful way together in 2025! Ali - Co-Founder/Co-CEO On behalf of Jane

      Pros

      - It may not be perfect (nothing is), but Jane and its leaders carry "good intentions" down to their core - Jane has a kind of fun, caring, and human-centered culture that most companies have all but lost since the post-pandemic layoffs - As of 2026, Jane is becoming extremely ambitious in its turnaround toward AI, using and building AI for the greater good - What was once a relatively slow-paced and process-heavy environment is becoming a much faster-paced and growth-inducing environment - Jane is customer-obsessed as it gets, designers/PMs do more customer interviews than I've ever seen elsewhere and customers are deeply appreciated - There's never been a better time to build great, impactful product, and Jane is pushing to be at the forefront of it - Actually remote-first, while doing (and paying for) some fun in-person events (including a yearly vacation to the likes of Palm Springs, Cancun…)

      Cons

      - Jane has grown complacent in certain ways (like cutting down process and simplifying product), and struggles to keep up with the growth in its headcount (a lot of processes and tools are no longer fit-for-purpose when the numbers get big) - For someone seeking growth, a lot hinges on their manager to work the process and create a growth-inducing environment on their team. This is happening unevenly throughout the company due to average managers - Plenty of technical debt, though AI creates an opportunity to side-step a lot of it
