General culture is good, people are usually friendly and sociable, good work/life balance

      Kennedys salary

      Litigation assistant
      Former employee
      Birmingham, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - wfh is great - not micromangee

      Associate
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great offices, pay in regional offices has improved, and partners are very approachable. Hours can be long but decent for a panel firm. WFH is good and there are supportive arrangements for carers.

      Cons

Office politics and favouritism are rife. You will go far if you know how to play the political game. Senior lawyers play juniors off against each other in a Hunger Games-style contest — alliances, betrayals, new alliances.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      Competitive salary and healthcare benefits.

      Cons

I felt the partner above me was struggling with the workload and I quickly lost confidence in their ability to manage the team. I felt the partner / legal director of the team used bullying / mobbing tactics to make for a toxic working environment. Not a pleasant place to work.
