This company used to be really good but lately it is on the path to become a toxic workplace. There is huge lack of communication, zero employee engagement, no employee recognition. The HRs are the most invisible/useless team in the company and only act on leadership orders. BT2 leadership is so arrogant, egoistic and toxic that a few top people alone are destroying the culture that this company was known for. Talking to the leadership feels scary. Instead of motivating the employee these leaders foster an environment of fear and inferiority by shouting and making fun on people. Silent layoffs have become the norm. Ive seen several people being asked to leave with the threat of temination for no strong reason. There is a constant fear of job insecurity because of the way the top folks behave. There is no proper structure to the employee growth and career progression is non existent. Some managers are the worst due to constant micromanagement and creating a sense of false urgency. Not enough time is given for problem solving or projects. The quality of work is really bad. Everything is p0 just like a toxic startup. Job security is reducing day by day. On top of all this there is no timeline for appraisals and no communication at all. They were already delayed in the last year. It was supposed to happen in Jan, now it's already close to may but there is no conversation about it. When asked, the managers say they don't know but the top leadership are clearly playing a game to just delay or even cancel appraisals. The entire company is in cost cutting mode and they are trying to reduce costs of infra and ops. They are even planning to scrap some basic employee benefits for this. On top of this, they are calling people to work from office 5 days a week although most teams are spread out across offices which doesnt make sense. Don't join here

Unresponsive Managers and HRs:** Communication is practically non-existent at Media.net. Managers and HR representatives are consistently unresponsive, leaving employees without the support they need. Whether it's a question about benefits, a concern about workload, or feedback on performance, it can take weeks, if not months, to get a response—if you get one at all. This lack of responsiveness creates a frustrating and isolating workplace, where concerns and queries go unanswered, exacerbating the feeling of being undervalued. **3. Delayed Appraisals:** Performance appraisals are routinely delayed, sometimes by several months. This not only affects morale but also impacts financial planning and career progression for employees. The delays are rarely communicated in advance, adding to the overall frustration. When appraisals are finally conducted, they often feel rushed and lacking in meaningful feedback, making it hard for employees to gauge their performance and areas for improvement. **4. Insufficient Hikes:** When appraisals do finally happen, the salary hikes are meager and do not reflect the hard work and dedication of the employees. This is particularly disheartening for those who have put in long hours and gone above and beyond their job descriptions. **5. Long Working Hours:** The work-life balance at Media.net is severely skewed. During critical times, such as release dates, employees are expected to work 13-14 hours a day. This excessive workload is draining and unsustainable, leading to burnout and a significant decrease in overall productivity and job satisfaction. There is little recognition or compensation for these extended hours, which further demoralizes the team. **6. Silent Layoffs:** Perhaps the most concerning aspect of Media.net is the company's approach to layoffs. Over 500 employees were silently laid off, with no prior warning or transparent communication. This not only shows a lack of respect for those affected but also creates an atmosphere of fear and instability for the remaining workforce. The lack of transparency around such significant decisions undermines trust and loyalty, making employees feel disposable and insecure about their future with the company. In conclusion, Media.net has a long way to go in terms of improving its management practices and employee relations. The current state of affairs is highly demotivating, and I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a stable and supportive work environment. The combination of poor management, lack of communication, delayed appraisals, insufficient salary hikes, excessive working hours, and uncommunicated layoffs creates a highly unsatisfactory workplace that fails to value its employees.
