      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Colleagues are generally supportive and team oriented. - The company has a strong brand and was previously well regarded as an employer.

      Cons

      - Minimal employee support during personal emergencies, with policies that feel inflexible and lacking in compassion when it matters most. - Limited flexibility and support during urgent family emergencies, with policies that can result in loss of pay despite unforeseen circumstances. - Very limited benefits overall, including low pension contributions, no meaningful perks, and restricted paid leave. - Sick leave allowance is extremely low, which can place unnecessary pressure on employees to work when unwell. - Heavy reliance on minimum wage structures, with pay increases that do not always reflect rising living costs or employee contribution. - High staff turnover, suggesting ongoing issues with retention and employee satisfaction. - A disconnect between the company’s “people-first” messaging and the day-to-day employee experience. - Progression and reward structures feel unclear or limited, making long-term career growth difficult.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We're pleased to hear that support within teams continue to be a positive aspect of working here, alongside the strength of our brand. We are focused on continually improving the employee experience through clear, consistent people practices and by regularly reviewing these. Listening to feedback is central to how we evolve, and it helps guide our priorities around engagement, retention and culture. Our aim is to ensure our values are reflected in everyday actions and to create an environment where everyone feels supported, valued and able to build a future.

      Caring culture is skin deep

      Pros

Superficially a great place to work with an effort made on small perks and generally speaking a nice team.

      Cons

The caring culture is very specious. Benefits of real financial value (such as pay and bonuses) are limited (even when the company is performing well) in favour of more low value gimmicky perks that look good on social feeds and in press articles. The company uses NDAs to hide layoffs and save face, hence colleagues will sometimes 'disappear' with little or no explanation.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Many of our lighter perks you've referenced were introduced because people told us they genuinely value them, so it's important to us that we keep those elements of our culture. We hold our 'Meet and Eat' sessions to share updates, answer questions and keep conversations open across the team, and we hope you were able to attend some of these and found them helpful. We continue to remain committed to sharing the information we can and keeping people as informed as reasonably possible.

We want to reassure you that progression really matters to us. We have clear development matrices in place, and many use these to step into Team Leader, Team Manager, and support roles so please reach out to your TM if you'd like further clarity. We’re proud of the number of people who’ve grown their careers here, and all opportunities are always advertised internally through the ‘New Opportunities’ page.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Offers a good benefits package, and the work culture includes social events and team gatherings which make it a fun place to work. The on site cafe is a nice touch and adds to the comfortable work environment. Training is thorough, and the company has a strong reputation which looks good on your CV.

      Cons

The work environment is highly structured and monitored, everything from tasks to toilet breaks are timed, which can feel restrictive. The role can become repetitive and feel robotic due to the scripted nature of the work. The sickness policy is strict, and time off for illness may impact your performance metrics.
