      Pros

After three years working here, it’s the people that really make the place, and you can tell by how many have been here a long time. I’ve always felt like I can be myself, which isn’t something you get everywhere. There are loads of opportunities to grow and move up if you want to, but no pressure if you don’t.

      Cons

It can be pretty full on at times, but that’s kind of the norm these days.

We're also proud of the strong internal succession across the business and the opportunities for people to move, grow and progress without pressure. While pace can be demanding at times, we continue to focus on supporting our teams and finding ways to work more sustainably. We're really grateful you took the time to share your experience,

Thanks for providing this balance view. It's great to hear the positives around the smaller leadership teams, growth opportunities and schedule flexibility and we recognize the points you've raised on pay, client retention and the pace of change. These are areas we're continuing to focus on, especially around strengthening service delivery and keeping the customer experience front and center. Your suggestions around getting back to basics and increasing presence are really valuable and we're considering ways to build on this. Thanks again for sharing your perspective.

      Pros

      - Colleagues are generally supportive and team oriented. - The company has a strong brand and was previously well regarded as an employer.

      Cons

      - Minimal employee support during personal emergencies, with policies that feel inflexible and lacking in compassion when it matters most. - Limited flexibility and support during urgent family emergencies, with policies that can result in loss of pay despite unforeseen circumstances. - Very limited benefits overall, including low pension contributions, no meaningful perks, and restricted paid leave. - Sick leave allowance is extremely low, which can place unnecessary pressure on employees to work when unwell. - Heavy reliance on minimum wage structures, with pay increases that do not always reflect rising living costs or employee contribution. - High staff turnover, suggesting ongoing issues with retention and employee satisfaction. - A disconnect between the company’s “people-first” messaging and the day-to-day employee experience. - Progression and reward structures feel unclear or limited, making long-term career growth difficult.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We’d like to reassure you that progression is really important to us and something we genuinely care about, which is why we’ve had clear development matrices in place for some time now. We're proud that our Team Leader and Team Manager roles are filled internally because we recognise the valuable experience they bring to the role, helping them step naturally into leading with confidence and empathy. We also love to see so many colleagues move into support functions too. We continue to remain committed to supporting development across all of our teams so always advertise our roles internally through our 'New opportunities' page.

Thanks for taking the time to feedback, it really is a lovely place to work with lovely people. Sorry to read that you found the role a bit monotonous, we’re always looking at ways to keep things varied and engaging for everyone. We'd also like to reassure you that development really matters to us. That’s why we have clear progression matrices in place and why our Team Leader and Team Manager roles are filled internally, with many colleagues also moving into support roles. Made some good friends, free parking, affordable food. HR/well-being we’re always nice

      Cons

The job makes you anxious and feel uneasy, as someone who has never had anxiety this job definitely changed that. Absolutely everything is timed to the minute including your lunch, break, loo breaks, logging out to respond to clients emails. It’s extremely restrictive, your break can be at 10.30 and you need to return on the dot 10.40, not 30 seconds later (no exaggeration), you’re treated like a child. You take 200+ calls in a day, one after the other, you don’t get chance to converse with colleagues for hours at a time, barely get chance to drink between calls some days as another call comes through the second 1 call ends. Callers can scream, swear and say the most vile things but hey ho you just have to get on with it. Progression in this job is barely worth it as the pay doesn’t match the responsibilities. The gym and pub are all well and good but after a day in that place, believe me you just want to leave. I wouldn’t recommend this job unless you were desperate for the money, I’d go in on time, leave on time and do the least amount of work possible.
