Pros
My team is excellent. There is an emphasis on work/life balance, my manager trusts us to do our jobs and genuinely cares about our wellbeing, and it is a great opportunity to get paid to learn.
The benefits are good and have improved since I was hired, but they do not make up for the lack of raises/promotions.
Cons
Most teams do not appear to have the same approach as mine. Micromanaging is rampant, as are layoffs/restructuring.
Every month, we hear how much money our products made and how successful we are, but when it comes time for promotions, raises, or even allocating budget for conferences, suddenly there isn't any.
The company also boasts about DEI initiatives, but has done next to nothing in terms of action. There was not even an acknowledgement of Black History month or Pride, much less a celebration.
