What are perks and other benefits like at Nuix?

      Nuix reviews

      Great place to work

      Sales leader
      Current employee
      Sydney
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Nuix seeks to be a force for good by solving wicked data problems. That statement of intent drives everything the company does. The CEO is deeply engaged, always upbeat and is highly-strategic. The company takes care of employees with transparent internal communications, flexible working arrangements and good benefits. The business is innovating strongly in the AI space and is pushing the boundaries in ways that are genuinely exciting. I'm glad I joined.

      Cons

Nuix's core competence is focused on the processing unstructured data: "finding truth in a digital world". That makes Nuix a very different kind of software company to others I have worked for that were primarily focused on structured data held in databases and processed via transactions. It takes time to get your head around the Nuix world view and to appreciate the company's many advantages.

      Pros

The new office that recently opened in Sydney is really impressive and helped make Nuix feel much more like the tech company it is. You can feel the culture shifting as a result and heading in the right direction

      Cons

Employee benefits could be better, but this is slowly improving

      Poor work environment

      Pros

      - Handful of talented and bright people (unfortunately most are not at the c suite level) - Interesting product with a great history of use cases to “catch the bad guys”.

      Cons

My manager was okay. He let me prioritise and do my role on my own although I could sense he was already planning to leave. Personally I didn’t have major issues at Nuix but I could see plenty of issues around me. Bullying is rife especially if you’re in the wrong department or team I saw several people experiencing this. New management have a vendetta against most of the older employees it’s kind of like a game of thrones type of environment. You can always feel tension and there is a sense of management watching over you. If you’re not in the circle of friends of the new management get used to walk on egg shells. Management had no concept of change management either everything is a knee jerk reaction. Weak salary bumps, often promised training and little benefits for a tech company. Don’t know why I stayed for so long always thought things would improve but the place is a sinking ship

Thank you for your feedback. It’s great to hear you appreciated the technology, people, and benefits. Regarding the closure of our US office, this decision was made to relocate those roles to Australia as part of our broader strategy to better align with our global operations. I understand that changes like these can be challenging. Decisions like this are never easy and are not taken lightly, but Nuix is committed to supporting our people through transitions like this. - Jacqui Levings - Chief People Officer

      Fast paced environment

      Devsecops manager
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The software is important. The U.N. used the software to catch war criminals. Law enforcement and national security have used the software to catch a variety of dangerous criminals. Journalists used our software to quickly sort through massive amounts of data to extract important information from the Panama Papers. In addition, we're on the cutting edge of technology in AI, search algorithms, and data processing.

      Cons

There was an insider trading scandal a few years ago and the fast pace can be overwhelming for some. On the flip side, problems are quickly addressed, and I've never seen faster response times. A good salary and benefits are offered, but If you just care about money, this might not be the best environment for you.
