      Pros

Interns get a lot of good benefits and perks as the full time employees, manager has bi-weekly 1-1 with me and they really care about if you need any support

      Cons

I don't think there is any

      Not secure

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Benefits, work from home flexibility, part of management

      Cons

Not reliable at all, not even starting yet the collaboration and I was informed that I had to end it because I was the newest and there are some sort of internal "restructuring" changements. Even if I received a perfect feedback based on my work. And they claim that they are people oriented. Also, it was very hard to obtain any kind of information, especially from HR, some persons didn't even responded at all, they didn't even prepared the offboarding process. What a shame to be such a big company with such a little character regarding the people that last in it !

      Professional Safety Conscious Company

      Maintenance technician
      Former employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Safety is paramount at SLB. The culture is vigilant regarding safety. The work is busy and somewhat fast paced, and tool orders can change at a moments notice. That keeps work interesting. The training is very good, although the company expects technicians to be very proactive in their own development with the assistance of management. Overtime is somewhat normal, averaging 5-10 hours a week. Shifts are broken up into long (OT mandatory) and short ( OT optional) which is good for work/life balance. The teams are great, the people are amazing, and I always had fun at work. As a disabled Veteran, I was always accommodated if necessary. The benefits are very good, and paid time off is very good. There are no corners cut here, it is a by the book organization, and it shows in the finished products. I would recommend anyone looking for professional technician work in the oil and gas industry to apply.

      Cons

Sometimes long hours (65-70 hr) work weeks leave little time for much else. Some work can be tedious, but that is the industry. Performance reviews aren’t as good as they could be, and you have to be pro-active to get them in time.

A Supportive Workplace with Room for Growth

      Senior procurement specialist
      Current employee
      Kuala Lumpur
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The company offers a solid compensation package with a salary that is slightly on par with market rates and decent insurance coverage for both employees and their dependents. The work environment is positive, with a collaborative team and supportive managers who foster a healthy culture. There's also the benefit of global exposure and flexibility, including well-provided work-from-home facilities like monitors, desks, chairs, and peripherals.

      Cons

Work-life balance is moderately maintained, although it can be impacted during peak times due to a hiring freeze, which sometimes leads to work overload. Career progression tends to be slow, and promotions or salary increments happen only once every 2-3 years, depending on market conditions.

      Pros

Nice salary, benefits and well being activities, all meals are provided in the company, you get best class working stations and fecility

      Cons

Slb has career progression pathway for everyone so when you are at G10 you have to prepare a project to be promoted to G11 (at this grade you become a manger or a team lead), because of this manual sometimes candidates who are not well versed or from different departments are put in opposite departments which creates clashes in work style and understanding, please choose your manager wisely.
