The potential is great. Perfect environment for only former and current VW employees to thrive in while everyone else is considered inferior.
Cons
Employee retention is not a priority. They will change employment terms and benefits with no notice. They boast about bringing back an American icon but are really just building an over budget, behind schedule obsolete German car. All decision makers are extremely out of touch and based outside of where the primary offices are located. Culture is toxic and executive leadership makes it worse. Departments compete for limited resources. They overcompensate to appear as if they support DEI causes in order to avoid unions.
-Decent Salary
-Benefits are okay
-Coworkers are from many different backgrounds and auto companies
-Opportunity to Learn new things in ramp up
-Open internal company wide meetings to submit any question
Cons
-Heavily tied to VW processes that slow execution
-Lost the startup vibe quickly
-Upper management slow to react to changing market conditions
-Company slowly reducing benefits or perks
The most toxic company I've ever worked at. VW sent guys from Germany and put them in direct level positions and they are the most unprofessional and rude people I've ever worked with.
