Pros
1. Remote work: This has allowed me to move around for different family needs without needing extended time off or seeking a new job. For this reason, I will always be grateful for the remote field.
2. Growth: Although there may not ALWAYS be growth opportunities within the team, if you put in the effort and communication, the team will do everything they can to recommend you for growth options (even if it's outside of their team)
3. Team work: Myself and the other Senior Chiefs have a close working relation and everyone is always willing to lend a hand - which makes you feel like a close family.
4. Higher level admin support: We don't often have to loop in upper admin on the day to day, but when we do - they are prompt, supportive, and reasonable.
Cons
1. Pay: Starting pay is not the best. However, you do save money being remote (no gas or stopping for morning coffee/lunch).
- Med students: If you are looking to grow your knowledge in the med field, this is a GREAT way to do it.
- Long term: If you are looking to be here long term, if you have patience and put in the effort, you will be recognized.
2. Evolving: The remote and medical field is revolving. I know a lot of people like routine with their day to day, but something we have to evolve with it which can at times become challenging. Others find it fun though!
