      Pros

Pay is good, benefits are great, remote work is a plus. Flexible schedules in the summer on fridays. Some employees are rly awesome to work with. Work is interesting and evolving.

      Cons

Priorities shift every few weeks and were not staffed to start one new project, abandon, and continue the next one. Please please please make up your mind, and trust that your employees know what theyre talking about. You hired them as experts in their fields after all. The worst part, over the last 3.5-4 years that ive been here, the culture has gone downhill. Its sad to see. Wave of employees hired from big american tech companies and brought toxic american newyork work culture with them, from the executive team to those as they say 'at the bottom'. People are keeping paper trails on each other to try to have others replaced or fired. The amount of trash talk by senior leaders is unacceptable. Workplace politics were not existent before. Now youre constantly walking on eggshells. Growth is not possible if you were hired 2-3 years ago and youre still with stackadapt. It is common that people are hired in the same role as yours and pretty much replaced your functions but with many more years of experience and much less class. People are being demoted or pushed out left and right. And just because youre new doesnt mean it wont happen to you eventually.

Leadership is supportive, promoting a culture of open communication and continuous learning. employees are given opportunities to develop professionally through mentorship and skill-building programs. The compensation and benefits package is competitive, with great perks like health coverage, remote work and a focus on work-life balance.

      Cons

There is a prevalent expectation that you work evenings, weekends and your PTO to meet the needs of your clients. Your managers and unsupportive and unhelpful. The workload and job descriptions of other positions is often downloaded to the account manager for no extra benefits.

      Cons

I’ve never seen a great culture deteriorate so quickly. What once was an amazing great Canadian company has grown into this psychologically unsafe toxic American hunger games. There use to be a time where you could go to HR and actually trust that they would work with you on a solution, but all the good ones (K, J, I) that worked in that department are gone and have been replaced with HR people who don’t care about anything but to be liked by senior management. I know that many employees are getting legally advise and there are many external chats about this terrible place. Not a good look at all. So, if you’re looking to make money and have good benefits and you don’t mind being in a dictatorship or being insulted on a daily basis, perhaps this is your ideal company. If not, I would keep looking!

      Going downhill

      Pros

remote work benefits are good (lifestyle and health spending)

      Cons

Work environment has grown more toxic throughout the year, shifting from a great startup with strong culture and a warm environment to a cut throat corporate environment that consistently increases workload, shifts priorities causing confusion and forces you to play into corporate politics one way or another. VPs are condescending towards ICs. The first sign that this company was going downhill was when the new CRO came in and decided to eliminate a whole bunch of roles while increasing workload. No growth within the company both vertically and laterally. Tenured employees are leaving in droves and people are also being demoted or forced out. Waves of new leaders and executives came from American big tech companies and brought their toxic work culture with them. Expect to be worked to the bones and maximize shareholder value.
