      StackAdapt reviews

When I joined, it was great...now, it's not. Its toxic.

      Pros

Pay is good, benefits are great, remote work is a plus. Flexible schedules in the summer on fridays. Some employees are rly awesome to work with. Work is interesting and evolving.

      Cons

Priorities shift every few weeks and were not staffed to start one new project, abandon, and continue the next one. Please please please make up your mind, and trust that your employees know what theyre talking about. You hired them as experts in their fields after all. The worst part, over the last 3.5-4 years that ive been here, the culture has gone downhill. Its sad to see. Wave of employees hired from big american tech companies and brought toxic american newyork work culture with them, from the executive team to those as they say 'at the bottom'. People are keeping paper trails on each other to try to have others replaced or fired. The amount of trash talk by senior leaders is unacceptable. Workplace politics were not existent before. Now youre constantly walking on eggshells. Growth is not possible if you were hired 2-3 years ago and youre still with stackadapt. It is common that people are hired in the same role as yours and pretty much replaced your functions but with many more years of experience and much less class. People are being demoted or pushed out left and right. And just because youre new doesnt mean it wont happen to you eventually.

      Pros

Decent pay and a work from home position.

      Cons

There is a prevalent expectation that you work evenings, weekends and your PTO to meet the needs of your clients. Your managers and unsupportive and unhelpful. The workload and job descriptions of other positions is often downloaded to the account manager for no extra benefits.

      Growth comes with pain(s)

      Account executive
      Former freelancer
      Toronto, ON
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Good product - Product pipeline and integrations - Good use of AI - Position has decent pay, was even better till 2023 till they changed their compensation structure - Good prospect for ad sales reps with 2-3 year experience or for reps multi year enterprise sales experience in the ad industry

      Cons

      - Senior Management has a disconnect with the mid- level management - Huge focus on future company growth, but managers are not good leaders - Business direction seems to be misaligned with the teams executing the business plans - Extreme growth within a short period of time has led to a lack of culture - Team managers seem to be less supportive now, lots of micromanaging

Good pay and remote work overshadow toxic environment

      Software development engineer (sde)
      Current employee
      Toronto, ON
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      Good pay and Remote work

      Cons

Absolutely toxic in nature, lack of managers that actually know what they are doing. Harassment and isolation if you speak your mind. This behaviour kills momentum and talent.
