Beware, customers will use anything and everything against you.
Pros
Nice people to work with, get your hands dirty.
Cons
3/4 of the customers that come in are always being pressed with pushy tactics to sell something, even when the customer doesn't need it or can afford it. It pushes your SPIFFS up and makes your shop look good instead of actually taking care of the customer. Not only is that tactic bad for the company face-wise but corporate also pushes you to do it, or else your store manager gets chewed out. Half the people I was employed with were kids in high school getting paid more than the qualified people who actually had experience with vehicles. 98% of the mishaps that happen with customer cars come from these kids not paying attention, improper use of shop equipment, leading to damage to the customers vehicle, leading to the entire shop getting chewed out due to a review. Coupons are used for mess ups only for you to get chewed out for using it in the first place. If your looking for a weirdly hostile environment with very little room for growth, plenty of compliments, and very little pay raises, this is your place, dumb HR staff that take your shop issues and then snitch on you only to get yelled at by the same person you had a complaint about, and not uphold the training pay raises, other than that stay away.
