What is the salary like at Twenix?

Very low pay, may not have consistent work

You get to choose when to work, and when not to do so, as well as transfer classes you no longer want or can teach. You feel mostly autonomous and the support team is very attentive to your needs and questions. The salary is great and the payments are always on time and without errors.

Almost all students are great to teach and give you excellent scores, reviews, and comments. However, some of them can be extremely demanding and can give you a 1 star out of 5 without hesitation even if you tried your best throughout the whole session. (It causes a little anxiety, but one can get used to it). Additionally, twenix is extremely strict leaving very little room for error. When you stray from what they establish, such as when students' grades lower your average score, when you're absent due to an error or an emergency and you couldn't transfer the class or you didn't even realize someone booked a class with you, or when you are late submitting a student' evaluation (which prohibits them from scheduling more classes and we all understand). From the first mistake, they send you emails depending on what happened (which I truly appreciate), but even if it's the first time they approach you regarding the matter, they tell you if you don't resolve it immediately, they will give you a final warning or lay you off, many times without further investigating what caused you to make a mistake, be absent, fall behind, or receive some "bad" grades. Sometimes it feels like they want robots as employees instead of humans as you can get to feel extremely pressured, but all in all I still think is a good company to work for (with some room for improvement).

Flexible and short classes .

The pay is terribly low for such a high rating standart. If you get a 3 / 4 stars feedback you need a long time to come back from that and i think its absolutely a very unrealistic requirement.

Every week you have to be worried that you get a lower rate and they restrict your access to their platform. You only and only judged by students, so of course some students no matter how good you are might give you a lower rate. Especially students do not know your employment depends on their rating. So it is easy to teach but very stressful. Twenix employees never look at your classes themselves and then judge if you are a good teacher or not. they just rely on students' feedback which is so unfair and not professional. so I can say they are on the side of students, not teachers. Also, regarding the stress you take every week, your salary is not that high.

Super flexible. Most students are nice and willing to learn.

Very low pay. Non-existent teacher support. Most micro-courses offered look as if they were created by someone who 1) never taught English and 2) never communicated with a human being. Shoddy rating system. There are virtually no classes some months (e.g., January and August). Every time the platform is updated, it gets worse and less user-friendly.
