Decent Job but TERRIBLE Management. I mean TERRIBLE.
Pros
I worked 6am-2pm Friday-Sunday which was not bad for my schedule at the time. The job itself is very easy for a decent amount of money for a student like I was at the time
Cons
The management there sucks completely. Ashley Harrold and Sarah Demott were the managers at the time and they were just ridiculous. They would be cooped up in their office and send people to "spy" on us. They expected us to be standing at a desk all day and giving "Disney World" style customer service to people coming into the hospital, which wouldn't really be much of an issue except that the way that the hospital is and the type of people that come in there it's really hard to do that especially since we need to be using the computer most of the time. You only get a 30 minute break and two 15 minute breaks that you don't have to clock out for but you can't group them or anything. The uniforms are ridiculously uncomfortable, at least the women's cut, and you get hot very easily. They are not very flexible about time off and hours you can work. There's only 2 types of shifts, 6am-2:30pm and 1pm-9:30pm. Unless you want to work a 12 hour shift in the emergency room. The WORST part about them is that the second you try to move up in the hospital or you put your 2 weeks in for a better job, they try EVERYTHING in their power to sabotage you so that they can either fire you or block you from moving up. I had a perfect performance record, put in my 2 weeks to move up to a better job in the hospital, and then all of a sudden they kept trying to pick at me and find things wrong with what I was doing when I was literally doing nothing wrong. They even tried writing emails to my new supervisors to sabotage my new job, even though they had just given me a stellar performance review A WEEK PRIOR. I am not the only one who experienced this treatment either, I know at least 4 other former employees who had the same experience as me. If you are okay with being severely micromanaged and not being able to trust your supervisor, then this is the perfect job for you!
