What is the salary like at UMortgage?

Decent salary compared to a few other companies offering a loan processor position.

You live in fear of being fired everyday. They make that pretty clear. And there are certain higher ups that you're made to be scared of. They want people who will do as they say without ever standing up for themselves. They will throw a tantrum or try to get you fired if you do something they don't like, even if that thing is just you doing your job. The work environment is terrible, you're expected to work 9-10ish hours a day. Taking a full lunch break is not an option. You're encouraged to go along with mortgage fraud (especially if you work with UMortgage Springfield, which I believe is called UMortgage Local now). Lastly, they're all fake, they try to create a family environment but family doesn't fire you and when you ask why, tell you they'd discuss it with you over email, just to be completely ghosted AND refused payment for money earned from closing loans.

Depending on the team you work on, it can be really great and supportive work environment. The team I worked with made me look forward to working with them.

People get laid off often. You have to deal with lots of large personalities from Loan Originators and Branch Managers. Company talks about making record profits, but that doesn't reflect in how the company treats employees who are not Loan Originators.

Great salary for the position

There is some funny business going on. Training was basic use of LOS system, and you’re told in training to use your prior knowledge for the role but when released to your team your manager reaches out after you’ve gotten some loans CTC’d that you’re not working how they want you to work and there’s zero tolerance and you’re fired…but there was no guideline provided in the first place. Go figure. Just lets me know I was used to help them reach their goal for that month and they don’t have the money to payout the large salary they offered/bonuses long term.

1. Horrible management 2. Lower pay without notice 3. Limit pipeline to make sure you don’t hit bonus 4. Operations managers have no clue what they are doing and it changes every couple months. If you voice any type of complaint they make up a lie to fire you.

If they fire you, it will be a relief.

You will be expected to work extra, for free, extremely often. I genuinely do not know how this is legal. Turnover rate is high even for this industry. Management doesn't have a clue.

1 Zero Training 2 They toss you in the water and even with loads of processing experience, you'll drown. 3 Bonus is 15 a month and hard to get if don't play their games 4 If you get an LO named Jay, Tyler G, or Taylor - prepare yourself to hate what you usually love doing 5 Change Holidays and then make "floating" 6 Salary not hourly and expect OT 7 LO can submit any kind of file submission and usually poor quality
