What are perks and other benefits like at Walgreens Pharmacy?

Good benefits, lots of room to move up into different positions

There aren't many cons I would say but the systems that Walgreens uses is referred to as being "old".

Walgreens is a good starter company. They pay for your certifications background checks and test. it's not a hard company to get in with because they're so desperate for employees.

Once you get set in a position its hard to get out of. The pay is on the low side and the benefits, pto, vacation, and the company that covers their leaves (Sedgwick) suck. Absolutely terrible.

Never hire enough staff. Always told that our numbers need to be better. The systems we use are old like 1997 old and they will not update them

Techs are generally considered the boss over the pharmacist Leadership wants to run the pharmacy Also Techs wants to run the pharmacy If you say something to Techs during the cause of your duties as a pharmacist you most likely get in trouble for it A tech has been here for 20yrs plus and she considers herself and calls herself as pharmacy manager and the store manager is happy with that. High employee turnover You always going to be training new techs and be understaff It’s a very busy store Store manager is not honest and transparent You will be hired only to be used for awhile and then, someone else will be hired to replace you Career advancement is not by merit or hardwork

Benefits are pretty good. I enjoy my team.

Labor is always being cut. More work is always being handled out.

Most of the time very flexible and plenty of benefits. Company will pay for your advancement of career (PTCB, vaccination, CPR)

Company focuses too much on vaccines and sets goals that are sometimes unrealistic. Due to staffing hours that are cut by corporate, it can be stressful sometimes
