What are perks and other benefits like at Yellow Bus ABA?

I have found this company to be a great way to gain experience within the field, and the coworkers truly make the work environment enjoyable. I also appreciate that this is a great opportunity to get an RBT certification because of the support provided. Furthermore, most of the BCBAs make you feel seen; they are the ones who truly seem to care about the staff’s well-being.

I would like to address the lack of standard benefits, including the absence of vacation time, PTO, and holiday pay. Furthermore, the current attendance policy is particularly concerning; the percentage system—which allocates only 10% for Behavioral Technicians—results in penalties and write-ups even in cases of documented illness or emergencies with a doctor's note. I believe these policies significantly impact staff well-being

I’ve had a positive experience working as a Behavior Technician at Yellow Bus ABA. The company provides a supportive environment where staff are encouraged to grow professionally and build meaningful relationships with clients and families. I would recommend it for someone fresh out of college looking for entry level positions.

Poor management/administration, focus on money making rather than clients, no benefits AT ALL

Supportive coworkers, meaningful work with children, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to build experience in ABA and behavior support.

Can be emotionally demanding at times. Travel time between clients is unpaid, and benefits are limited.

Yellow Bus ABA personally assigns a coordinator that will bring cases that may fit you through your location instead of having to constantly search through a database in order to find work although that is always accessible as an employee as well. Pay is also in extra tasks such as training (HIPAA, Sexual Harrassment, etc.) and onboarding, each having employees paid an atleast minimum wage for each hour these tasks take.

You must work full-time in order to recieve benefits such as paid time off, making it hard to depend on. Finding full-time work is also hard as most families prefer after-school hours that may limit employees to one case or 2-3 if the cases are short hours.

Compensation, Flexibility, Trainings, Supervision, In Company Opportunities

Working in ABA is great, however as a BT your schedule is directly dependent on that of the client so if they cancel, or move, you are out of work. Also no real benefits unless you move up in the company. Would not consider if you are looking for something stable, as your paycheck will fluctuate week to week.

Working as a Behavior Technician at Yellow Bus ABA has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I've had the privilege of working in both center-based and home-based settings, which has helped me grow professionally and build meaningful relationships with clients and families. The support from the BCBAs has been outstanding. Every BCBA I've worked with has been knowledgeable, encouraging, and always willing to help, making me feel supported every step of the way. I'm grateful to be part of a team that truly cares about its clients and staff. I highly recommend Yellow Bus ABA to anyone looking for a supportive and positive workplace in the ABA field.
