Pros
I enjoy working at YellowBus as a Behavioral Technician. I work in clients’ homes, and I really enjoy collaborating with my BCBA and the families I support. The families I work with have been wonderful, and I feel that the work I do is meaningful and rewarding.
Since I work in-home rather than at a center, it can sometimes be difficult to connect with other BTs unless we are attending virtual trainings. However, I appreciate that YellowBus consistently offers a variety of training sessions to help strengthen our ABA skills, and the flexible scheduling makes it easy to sign up based on availability.
One thing I especially appreciate is the support available when needed. For example, when I was having trouble using the MeasurePM data tracking platform, another technician joined me during one of my in-home sessions to help troubleshoot the issue. Even though I work independently in the field, I always feel like there is someone I can reach out to for support and guidance when needed.
Cons
Most sessions take place during the evenings due to school hours during the year, which may be difficult for those looking for daytime hours. There are also limited weekend cases available, so scheduling flexibility can sometimes be challenging depending on availability.
