Candidates were all given a fair shot and anyone who applied had the chance to interview for the management position. To my knowledge, no one was pre-screened or robbed of the chance to prove themselves in the interview, and the first round took several days. It consisted of sitting down with the hiring manager & a peer from the management team. There were two rounds before the hiring manager made his decision, and the second round came down to deciding between two individuals. This last round was a brief sit-down with the hiring manager where he only asked one question.
