Interview process was long and time consuming, the recruiter I worked with was pretty nice at least.
1 - Recruiter screen
2 - Hiring manager interview
3 - Peer interview (2 interviews with current FAS)
3.5 - Hiring manager meeting about presentation/final interview
4 - Presentation followed by four 1 on 1 interviews
Presentation was unique to this position so had to be made almost entirely from scratch. I thought the interviews went great and I seemingly had only positive feedback throughout the process, I thought I was going to get an offer but 2 business days following the final interview I was rejected with no explanation. I seemingly had a good rapport with the hiring manager and based upon the large amount of time invested into the interview process I figured I would get at least a generic explanation but they haven't responded to my email asking for feedback. This was frustrating because I heard so much talk about the importance of open communication, treating people with respect, the FAS team being a family, etc. that I expected more from them. This would've been a positive experience for me even given the rejection, time, effort and energy invested if I had been given the courtesy of some feedback.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 10x Genomics in Aug 2024
Interview
Hr zoom meeting followed by zoom meeting with hiring manager who REFUSED to show her face, then one on one meeting with two other FAS. The job has been posted for over two month and they seem to have interviewed a bunch well qualified people (see other reviews) but didn't end up hiring any of them. I find this behavior suspecious.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at 10x Genomics
Interview
Quick moving, HR was clear, easy to reach, and transparent. Overall smooth process, made it to the later rounds of the interview cycle but eventually not chosen for the role.
