To start off, after the fact, I realized that even though 1101 Marketing has job listings online for multiple different jobs and positions (usually 7-8 postings), all jobs are exactly the same, and none of them are accurately listed. The interview was incredibly brief. I sat down, and a supervisor immediately jumped right into how to move up in the company. Actual qualifications didn't seem to be any sort of issue or factor, mostly just the ability to talk to people. The second day I shadowed an employee, and was shocked to see that every position, regardless of what it was, was actually just setting up a table on Sam's Club and trying to get the attention of people as they passed by. There were no real examples of marketing or training, just basically trying to sell stuff to people as they pass.

Applied for an assistant position but was interviewed for a brand sales position. The interviewer went right to how you can advance in the company and didn't seem to care about relevant experience. Just wish they were up front about the whole process and not sugar coat it.

Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry you did not feel the position fit your prior experiences. All positions within our company start off at an entry level. We not require prior experience for the entry level, we look for other important qualities in each candidate. We believe in cross-training each individual at the entry level to unsure a full understand before taking on a management role. We market our clients product inside the biggest retailers in the country and have wonderful success doing so, however the position is much more than being inside retailers. Again, we are sorry you did not get a full understanding of the entirety of the position.

DO NOT CONSIDER THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO SELL COMCAST TO PEOPLE IN SAMS CLUB, WALMART, ETC. That's literally the position. Setting up a table in Sam's Club to sell cable to people. Also, you work 6 days a week and most likely would get Wednesdays off. Cool if you need a job, not cool if you're a recent college grad looking for a legitimate career. The first interview was fine...just some general questions and what you'd expect. The second interview though was a "job shadow". I followed a guy in my car from their office in Cincinnati to Kentucky (about a 30 minute drive) where we set up a table and he talked to uninterested passersby about trying to get them to switch cable companies. Sorry, not what I'm looking for in a career. Wish they would be upfront with what the job actually is, and not give a vague description.

We are responsible for all of our clients in-store marketing and advertising in order to generate new sales and brand awareness, within the retail partnerships we already have established. However, Comcast is not one of the clients we represent. We are sorry if you were confused. As far as schedule, we are open 7 days a week and offer flexible schedules with proper notice.
