      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 1Password (Milton Keynes, England) in May 2022

      Interview

Thought it was going to take longer but actually as long as you action everything you can your end in a timely manner, it's a speedy process. Started wifh an email from recruiter to organise zoom call and to action the Customer Support Questionnaire. This is actually very easy to answer by using the forum they provide for you to locate the answers you need - if you are struggling to come to an answer, think outside the box a little and maximise the forum posts (use every keyword to find your answer) - They are also super casual and want the customer to receive the answer but in a friendly way, emojis are a big plus! Questionnaire also has personal & situational questions. That needed to be sent before the zoom call. Zoom call with recruiter is super casual and friendly, basically to go through CV and you as a person! If successful with recruiter you then speak to CS Manager on zoom (for me this was a few days later) - Again, super casual but there are situational questions to answer but they are common ones so not too much to worry about. Then just a waiting game. I had my chat with manager on Monday and received my offer on Friday 😊

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at 1Password (London, England) in Mar 2022

      Interview

After applying I was sent a questionnaire to complete, fairly straightforward. After this I was asked to have a conversation with a member of the recruitment team, the person I spoke to was very warm and welcoming and I felt it went well. I was told I’d hear back the next week, after I didn’t’ hear back I was told there was a slight delay and I would hear back the next week. Almost 3 weeks after this, I received an email offering me an interview with one of the team managers who I found to be fairly standoffish and rude.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at 1Password (London, England) in Feb 2022

      Interview

I applied online with their initial application process which took a good half an hour to answer all their questions. I heard back to say I got through to the next round, this was another long process of answering to their mock customer support questions as I would in real life, along with some general questions. I took a good 2 hours to research the answers to the questions using 1passwords forum and FAQs. I adjusted them to my tone of voice and presented them in a way I see fit. 2 weeks had passed and no response so I asked for feedback they replied stating that 'due to circumstances beyond their control no feedback could be provided until the following week'. The following week I heard back with no offer to moving to the next stage of the process. I did receive quite thorough feedback (which is not always the case so was a nice change). However, I didn't agree to the feedback for 2 of the points - I did not include emoji's in my answers. I find emoji's condescending especially in a professional setting. Personally I would not want to receive emoji's in an email from 1password as I would not take them seriously! Personal preference though but feels like a very odd thing to be marked down for not putting through to the next round. They also mentioned that I should have researched my answers on the forum, which is bizarre as I did. In fact I spent a long time looking for their answers but came across many issues with this; - for the same generic question, they have multiple different versions of their answers from their team on the 1password forum. It appears that not all team members at 1password give the same advice which is not particularly useful for the end users Often, an answer would come from a member of the public and not an actual 1password team member. Then later on a 1password customer support person is like 'what they said up there' so if the only answer to a technical question I can find is written by a member of the public I should copy paste that into my mock questions?

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. Is this environment right for you? (remote/ working from home) 2. What are some things you do to keep yourself focused and able to accomplish this goal? (answering 65 tickets per day) 3. Sometimes, it can be difficult to keep the negativity from getting to you. How do you stay positive? 4. Think of the last support email you sent to a company. Were you satisfied with the resolution, whatever it was? How could you make things better if you were on the other side? Are you ready to put your ideas into action? :) 5. Do you enjoy writing standalone articles? Things like user guides, knowledge base articles, blog posts, etc. 6. Do you enjoy giving presentations? Things like demos, webinars, etc. Sample customer questions - I've been using 1Password for years and it works great on my Mac and iPhone but I can't get it working on my new iPad Pro. It keeps asking me for my Secret Key. Can you send it to me? - Dear 1Password Team, I've been using a Mac since 1984. In over 30 years, yours is the most well designed application I've had the pleasure of using and your support is second to none. Thank you for a great product. You’re awesome!Tim. - Why isn’t 1Password free anymore? - Just a quick question for you. I want to use 1Password on -my Mac, iPad, and my Windows PC at work (everyone at work loves 1Password, btw!). What do I need to buy? - I just upgraded to 1Password 7 on Windows. The old version worked fine, but now I can’t use the extension in Firefox at all, nothing happens when I click on it. I tried reinstalling the extension, but no luck. The old version didn’t have this problem. Shouldn’t the new one work better than the old one? How do I get it working? - Howdy! I have 1Password 3 on my iPhone and I’d like to update without losing all of my logins. What do I do? - WTF every time I update, your stupid software disappears. You have my data held hostage and I can't get into any of my important web sites. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS RIGHT AWAY. - Wie füge ich weitere Team-Mitglieder zu einem Tresor?
