I went through three rounds of interviews with five different people that all seemed very positive. After the third interview, I followed up a couple times over about three weeks, before I heard back that some people were on vacation (it was summertime, so that is to be expected) and I would hear more on next steps in about a week. I was also told to keep them posted on things on my end (which I took as a very positive sign).
Three more weeks went by with me following up multiple times with no response. Then, I received an automated rejection email from their ATS. When I followed up for some feedback as to where they felt I was lacking as a candidate, and was completely ghosted.
When a candidate has invested the time for interviews with 5 different people, that candidate deserves a lot more than an automated reply from an ATS to reject them for the role, and should not be ghosted when they follow up with the people who arranged the interviews.
If that is how they treat candidates, I can only imagine how they treat employees.
