I applied for the position and heard from an HR representative the next day to schedule a phone interview. They were very eager to hire and have someone in the role as quickly as possible.
The HR individual provided insight into the challenges the company is running into. We discussed everything from employee relations issues, change adoption problems and the generational differences of management and the employee base.
We also reviewed how my experience would help the organizations through change management, reviewed ideas to push the company forward and where the future of AAA was headed. She sounded very excited at the possibility of having me join the team and asked for my availability to move to the next steps for an in person 1:1 interview with the VP of HR. I promptly provided her those details and never heard anything back and have yet to see a rejection email. Which is disappointing and unprofessional.
Overall it was for the best. AAA it very much stuck in archaic databases, processes and ways of doing business even though we are in the 21st century. I'm sure there are great people to work with and decent benefits however, it does not seem to outweigh how set in their ways the company is.
