Pros:
The technical interview process was impressive and directly relevant to the role. The focus on real-world problem-solving was refreshing, particularly the technical assessment, which involved creating a Dockerfile and building an image. This practical approach was much better than the usual theoretical or MCQ-based assessments.
Cons:
Unfortunately, the HR process left much to be desired. After completing the technical assessment, communication from HR completely ceased, with no feedback or updates provided. Moreover, the insistence on in-person interviews for even brief discussions, despite the availability of online alternatives, seemed outdated and inconvenient.
Another significant concern is the two-month notice period policy. In 2024, such rigid policies feel exploitative and outdated, potentially discouraging talent from joining. This is an area the company should seriously reconsider to align with modern employment practices.
Overall:
While the technical aspects of the interview process were excellent, the HR practices and company policies overshadowed the positive experience. There's a lot of room for improvement on the HR and policy fronts.
