Phone interview with the Director of Global Support went fine. We mainly went over background and personality questions. However when called in for an on-site interview, I believe I had the worst interview experience I personally have heard of. The 2 people who work closest with the position I was interviewing for came into the room and basically asked why I was even there if I wasn't an electrical engineer. They arrogantly asked me if I had even read the job description (which had only asked for a "B.S. in life sciences or engineering"). They began to insult my intelligence further with their next comments. They seemed to assume I knew nothing about electrical engineering at all (even though as a mechanical engineer I do have a good amount of background with circuits). They told me I lacked the necessary electrical engineering knowledge needed for the position (which wasn't disclosed in the jobs description.) They wouldn't even let me try the usual circuits question they gave to other candidates (I found out about this later). They tried to make me seem like an idiot for wanting to even work in the medical devices industry as a mechanical engineer. They basically treated me like a nuisance for just being there and wasting their time, even though they called me in for an interview and never said anything about it being an electrical engineering position beforehand. If thats how they treat the people they interview I really didnt even want to know what working with them was like. I withdrew my candidacy 20 minutes after the interview. Dont work for this company.
