I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ACKO General Insurance (Allahabad) in Jul 2019
Interview
The process consisted of 3 rounds at most followed by an HR round. I was the first guy to be interviewed for Round 1, when the company visited our campus. Since, I had done a project on distributed systems, the interviewer started asking me questions around it. My project was distributed chat server, which was a basic model where we weren't storing the chats, so he asked me to store the chats in databases efficiently and then he asked me to do some SQL queries since I was using MySQL database to retrieve most recent chats of some user and some similar questions.
Then I was asked a coding question: Given a matrix you have to travel from top left to right bottom while you can move in any of the four directions, i.e. top, left, right, bottom, if it's a valid move. I gave him a solution but he wasn't satisfied.
Tips: Prepare your projects well. Since Coding questions were different for different candidates so I can't tell what to emphasise on but just be good.

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ACKO General Insurance (Bengaluru) in Aug 2025
Interview
I applied through my university. The online assessment included dynamic programming and graph problems. In the technical round, interviewers discussed my projects, asked data structures and algorithm questions, and tested core computer science concepts. The process evaluated problem-solving, coding efficiency, and conceptual understanding thoroughly.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ACKO General Insurance (Bengaluru) in Jul 2018
Interview
I was called onsite after initial telephonic exploratory call. Met a Business manager and then a product manager. First one was more of a conversation and general catchup on the working style. PM interview was more in ability to build things and optimize requirements based on the constraints and business needs.
Next round was with head of engg on hangouts as he was in Mumbai. Basic questions on what is http, cookies, sessions, headers etc. One problem solving question. Then he gave a programming assignment in python. Got 1.5 hrs for that. Then came the worst interviewer I have ever met. He was 100% time on his phone, mumbling words. Asked similar questions around http/http methods, multithreading, checked the python code.
The HR was helpful throughout the process and tried his best to make the process clear and sell the company.
