After my application, they contacted me from Linkedin for this role in Dubai. Instead of starting with a 15 mins call regarding your background, role description and salary expectations (which is a standard HR interview process), HR requested a case study on a specific topic during Eid break (where everyone in the country is on holiday) in 3 days via a Linkedin message (which didn’t seem proffessional). OK, tight deadlines exist in business life. Strange thing is; they did not ask salary expectations. Before preparing the case study, I asked their salary band in order not to lose time on both sides. Again strangely, they said they dont have a salary band. Anyway, I prepared and sent the requested case study before the deadline. 1 week after the HR contacted me for a 15 mins call. She expained the role and asked me the salary expectation. Eventhough it was a positive call, I just received a standard “we decided to move with other candidates” Linkedin message. Without any feedback. Most probably they are collecting data/ideas from people without paying them. Maybe I should request a payment for the work I have done? :)
